We had a wonderful meal. The food was amazing. There was so so much to choose from! The portion sizes were great and good value. The service was fab, we were served by a lovely young lady (can’t remember her name - I think perhaps Jess, she had glasses and a fringe) she couldn’t have been any more helpful and accommodating and friendly.
The food was delicious.

The Lake View Restaurant is in a beautiful setting like the name suggests, with a lake view. The food is exceptionally good with lots of choice including gluten free for those requiring this. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant itself is lovely and has a great ambience. Around the outside there are lovely items for sale in the form of teapots and other items. All in all this was a really great experience. I have been twice now one with my daughter and a family friend for afternoon tea which was amazing (we needed bags to take away what we could not eat). The second time was last Friday when I took my daughter for an early birthday treat of brunch. We had the mini breakfast and it was more than enough for us. I would highly recommend this venue whether you want breakfast, lunch or an afternoon tea. The menus cater for everyone.

This is our third visit, and on each occasion we were greeted by friendly helpful staff, well prepared food, of a high quality, a clean and happy environment, all in all I would have no hesitation, money permitting of eating there everyday. A vast and varied menu, professionally prepared. Waitresses under pressure, but always did their best to ensure everything was satisfactory.

My first visit and I have already booked again! The customer service was excellent and the food was lovely. The only negatives were that three of our menu choices were unavailable but we were only informed after the orders went through to the kitchen - the kitchen should inform front of house staff of unavailability so they can advise unavailable choices when giving out menus, thus reducing disappointments (my dad wanted liver and onions and syrup sponge - his favourites - but couldn’t have either - not great as it was his birthday we were celebrating!) My other negative is that we’d asked to have a quiet table out of the way as my elderly father is within the vulnerable group so needs to take more care - we were seated on a table in the corner of the restaurant which was great - until a party of six was seated immediately next to us (less than 2m) when the rest of the restaurant was pretty much empty. Otherwise, a lovely lunch.
