Was delighted by Banners! Have lived nearby for years and had never been in. It’s got a very varied menu. The burgers looked delicious but I had the chilli which was a good choice. They allowed me to take leftovers home which I had for brunch today with fresh avo and a fried egg. Will deffo return

Huge fan of Banners. Great menu with interesting flavours and generous portions. Good drinks menu for all hours of the day - I wish more places had Buck’s Fizz on the breakfast menu!! - and ever so friendly and attentive staff. Do yourself a favour and book for brunch. See if you can get Bob Dylan’s table!

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Banners has a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, we had delicious burgers (jerk chicken and lamb) and a lovely Thai vegetable curry. Very good chips and mayo. I first went to Banners about 25 years ago and it’s still my favourite!

I celebrated my 50th birthday on Saturday 11th March. From the minute I stepped into the very busy restaurant I was greeted with a lovely warm smile by Lolla who showed me to my table for a party of 10. Emily our waitress was super helpful, nothing was too much. Everyone's starters and main course meals arrived promptly. The food is of a superior standard and definitely value for money. I brought a birthday cake and candles which Emily happily took round to the back. Then after our meal the staff brought out my cake with candles lit and it appeared to be the entire staff and restaurant singing happy birthday to me! Magical experience! Would definitely recommend! Some of my friends had already been to Banners previously and highly recommended it. Everyone in my party throughly enjoyed themselves. My only minor critique is the space is a tad tight around the tables. However our table was at the back of the restaurant which is less congested than the front. Overall fantastic experience, can't wait to return.

Warm, inviting, great service, great menu, fab children's menu really varied and much more than the regular meatballs, nuggets and tomato pasta. Attention to detail like putting children's menus inside popup story books and serving their drinks in milk bottles. Great mocktails too. The only criticism was that the plantain wasn't cooked well. I feel they weren't ripe enough. Nowhere near. Being Guyanese we have had this a lot as a family over the decades and it was too unripe and hard as a consequence. Otherwise it was all great. They've maintained a great level and quality over the years. Will always come back.

One of our favourites places, Banners is a glowing gem that never disappoints. Service is spot on, with staff genuinely hospitable and welcoming, and food is as it should be - heartwarmingly delicious. Portions are generous, and the menu has something for everybody no matter the age, dietary requirements or taste. On this occasion we went for my wife’s birthday and the staff arranged a little celebration at the end of our meal, which was a lovely touch. Banners is a place you shouldn’t miss if you’re in London, pay them a visit and you won’t regret it!

lovely food, the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The closing time was 9.30 but we were there until 10pm because it was my birthday and we were going to have a cake. they were tired but they didn't ask us to leave.
