Welcome to Brouge also known as:
The Jolly Blacksmith in the early 1900’s. (Rebuilt in 1932) where it was once thought this was the hiding place for Dick Turpin.
The Fulwell Arms in the late 1900’s.
The Old Goat since 2005. The Brouge concept was born in 2008 with the Belgian beers and moule frites being very popular in the local area. Now days attracting repeat frequenting families and all our neighbours, who tell us they are proud of the transformation of their local pub over the years.

Proprietors: Miri Muskaj and Blade Llangozi, two long life friends who enjoy what they do and are proud members of the local community.

Had a lovely evening . Injuries but attentive service by a lovely girl. So happy. She must find it a great place to work by her jovial demeanour. Made our evening all the more pleasurable. The food was great (except chips were a bit too fluffy inside- but hey they’re chips! The stoemp with my Belgian Stew was gorgeous. Starters were great too. Amazed at such quality when the menu was so large and varied. Always a difficult one for staff to be asked - but her choice for the red wine was was “bang on” and so good. Excellent!

Visited Brouge recently and had a great experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive — our waitress in particular was excellent, always checking in without being intrusive. Service was consistently good throughout the visit. I accidentally overpaid and they spotted it straight away, corrected the bill, and returned the money without any hassle — very honest and professional. The atmosphere was really pleasant, with a nice buzz but not too noisy. Music was at just the right level to enjoy conversation, and a big plus — no TVs blaring in the background. Overall, Brouge is a lovely spot with good vibes and great service. Definitely recommend it.

It was my first time visiting, the whole experience was brilliant, food was excellent, a proper Sunday dinner,which both myself and my son enjoyed. This was the first time I have to say the food was below average. 3 had the mixed roast - the potatoes and all the veg were over cooked, either chewy or rock hard. The nut roast was too salty and I didn’t even bother after the second mouthful. The stuffing was rock hard too. First time I’ve been disappointed with the roast there

Brouge is always good but meeting the family for a Chirstmas lunch and get together here was a complete joy. Waiting staff were brilliant, which is hard to do with so many large groups and the food was incredible. Everyone said how great their individual dishes were and it all arrived on time and well cooked. Would recommend to everyone.

Excellent service Beef stew needs more potato(stoemp?) B’eeam does not need mussel sauce. Overpowers delicious flavour of fish. Maybe parsley sauce?
