Absolutely excellent food from a chef and staff who care about their customers.
This is different from your average restaurant and I fully expect it to receive many rewards in its future.

The food was absolutely delicious - we were a group of 5 and selected many different dishes from the menu, all of which were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The portion sizes were perfect - we shared several side dishes and there was sufficient to satisfy all of us. There was also a good selection of wines and beers for us to choose from. The restaurant had been recommended to us by a team mate who was previously a chef - he recommended the lamb shank nihari and he was absolutely right! Next time I'm out for a meal in Teddington, I will definitely consider the Red Koyla even though it is a little out of the way from the main high street - it's worth the walk!
We also used the rest room and it was lovely and clean, but a little cold.
All in all it was a great experience and one I would want to repeat.

I enjoyed my first visit to Red Koyla. Service was excellent and food was very enjoyable ….a little salty for my taste which I often find in India restaurants. Very pleasant staff, the chef came to talk with us after our meal and said he was make us one of our favourite dishes next time if we gave him notice - very obliging. Only one negative was we were the only people dining that evening so the atmosphere was lacking….again not unusual for post Christmas!

The food was delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. The starters in particular; crab, squid, were distinctive and tasty. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly without being intrusive.

First time eating in the restaurant although we have had two takeaways from them at home. Food super. We were recommended some very nice wine and felt welcomed and looked after.
My only disappointment was that I had been in touch with the restaurant at the time of booking to confirm I would receive an early bird discount. This information had not made it to the front of house.

Our comments are very personal. General ones: cannot avoid aggravating scaping noise of cutlery on non-ceramic plates and waiter inexperience in serving wine, needs some training. Food specific: softshell crap was not crispy enough, otherwise we enjoyed very much.
