Service on the slow side but good and that actually suited us as we didn't want to be hurried and were a group of nine. Food excellent. Would entirely recommend. Very much appreciated that the restaurant let is stay and chat long after the lunchtime service was over and made no move to ask us to leave.

Salaam Namaste was wonderful. We were there before Covid, Christmas week of 2019, and despite the crazy holiday parties going on we loved it. The food is exquisite. We came back to London this year, and were looking for Christmas Day dinner. When we saw that Salaam Namaste would be open, we booked it. We arrived early in the rain, and they took us in. They fed us, and treated us like family. This is a delightful restaurant.

As in the past we were looking forward to your return visit. Arrived at the time booked, the restaurant was closed (‘staff shortage’). We had to wait outside for 10 minutes until they opened. Once inside, there was only one shabbily dressed, unsmiling person cleaner-cum-waiter serving. Her clothes were visibly dirty. The table was dirty, the menu food-stained. The bathroom soap liquid was loosely placed on an inclining surface. It fell on the floor ever time I visited the restroom. The past glorious ambience we knew and loved was no longer there. I am sorry to have to write these negative comments, but we were very disappointed. The puzzling thing is this: having built such a fantastic place and maintaining the high quality we enjoyed for many years, why allow it to become such a well below average establishment. Why so dirty? Could they not get a proper, elegantly dressed waiter - with clean clothes - as in the past? No surprise, we won’t be going there again.

A very nice evening. Great location near Lambs Conduit Street, Salaam Namaste has the feel of a neighbourhood restaurant, with attentive service. Food very tasty and there are some interesting options on the menu, not just the standards — including black dhal, always a positive indicator in my book!

The potato-cauliflower dish was so heavily spiced that we couldn't eat it; I felt the chicken tikka masala contained an overdose of tomato sauce. Beyond that, we were satisfied.

My dining experience was lovely. The waiter was a true gentleman...opening the door for me on arrival and opening it for me on leaving. There was no atmosphere. Even on a Friday night, it was virtually empty. Food was variable: for example, the bhel puri was far too hot. The portions of chutney provided were not big enough for the number of papadoms. But the jackfruit and artichoke biryani was very good.

An oasis of good food and friendly service on a drizzly Xmas Day evening! There wasn’t a great deal of choice due to the special set menu, but what we had was tasty and well-cooked, and the table service was prompt and attentive. Some popadoms and pickles would have been nice. I’m certainly planning to go back on a normal day to sample the full range of the menu. An excellent find.

The service and food was good at the time (I ordered Goan fish curry). However, that evening I got terrible good poisoning and was sick for a days afterwards. The fish was obviously not fresh. They need to be careful with their meat and fish supplies.

Sadly, I've been to many cheaper Indian restaurants where the food was much tastier and not everything tasted and looked the same. We ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both tasted and looked very similar. My guests were also extremely disappointed with the portion sizes, especially of the starters. The presentation of the curries in personalised large plates also made sharing difficult. Definitely not a place I'll be recommending to anyone...
