We always take the opportunity to eat at Steins when we are in the area. The food is authentically German and very tasty, the beer selection, while not huge is always well kept. As non London residents the prices feel a little on the high side to us, however the quality is excellent and the service super friendly. My only request, please open a branch in Worcester

The only reason it was a 8 on ambience is because the restaurant was quite cold. However, it was sub zero temperatures outside, which I appreciate makes it very difficult. Otherwise, the restaurant took our requests into consideration and the staff were incredibly kind, responsive and helpful. We will definitely return! Thanks!

We make it a tradition to book an evening at Stein, before we depart for skiing in Austria. The food and service is always impeccable. One only complaint would be, there was a few items of food unavailable on the menu and had been for a while it appeared. We should have been told these dishes were no longer available or they should be removed from the menu, before placing food orders. Otherwise a great experience and atmosphere.

Stein's is one of my all time favourite restaurants of all time in Kingston. They offer home quality cooking German food and it is to die for. I have been there at least 10 times and each time it is just as good as the last. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! And their portions are fantastic. Also during October, they have octoberfest beers which is definitely an added bonus. 10 out of 10 any day of the week.

This was my second visit to the Kingston Steins. Both very positive Experian we and definitely won’t be my last visit.
The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
The food was all lovely, I’ve had the sausage, the schnitzel and the meat loaf (my current favourite) and would recommend all of them.
Of course, the beers are great and if you can get an outdoor table on a sunny day to take in the river view while enjoying your drink, I would definitely recommend it!

We went there for the first time to have a German dinner with our Polish friends. The menu is a mix of German and Austrian food. The place is cosy and provides a relaxing atmosphere. As being German, I can say that the food was authentic and very good. We definitely will come back.

Had a great time for a celebration meal. Food was a little expensive for the quality but the Germans in our party were very happy to be able to get a taste of home. Lovely riverside view too.

Great evening at the ‘No 1’ place for German food in London. Service was spot on , with good interaction and advice on food. White asparagus was a treat, along with the Weiss beers.

Really enjoyed it. Would have love liked more appropriate music (cliché or not) - like apres ski or oompah - mixed in with normal music. Staff were lovely. Would have liked a bit of pear in with my Williams Birne schnapps (as this is how it's normally served).

Excellent food and decent portions, good attentive service, only complaint is that the seats are very hard and somewhat uncomfortable for a leisurely meal - but will be back again
