We realize it was the first week opening back up, so things could be different/better in the future. We ordered drinks, and it took over 15 minutes for them to arrive. Our waitress wasn’t overly attentive; we had to ask for napkins and tableware. The last drink ordered never arrived, but the manager comped it. The food was good, so we’ll give it another try in the future.

The food was outstanding. All of our dishes were creative, beautifully presented and delicious. Our server was personable, attentive and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, and this seems to be a consistent problem due to insuffient staff, we had a long wait after we were seated before we received any attention, a very long wait before our drinks arrived, and a another long wait for each course. We have been to Pacific by Noru at least 4 times and the lack of staffing has been noticable every time.

It was our second visit and while the menu is limited, it was challenging to decide what I wanted since almost every option looked really good! This is an excellent excuse to come back and try more. And our server was exceptional! Definitely helped elevate the entire experience. We are big fans!!

Absolutely love this gem of a restaurant in downtown Ventura.
We’ve been there twice in the past 3 weeks and the food, service and ambiance were excellent. Everything from the sake salmon, short ribs, Kobe steak, gyoza (appetizer) and especially the house breads were a definite 10/10. The only (minor) complaint would be that the cocktails (spicy Margarita and Moscow Mule) had so much ice in the glass, there seemed to be minimal drink. But wine and martinis very good. Will definitely return.

My girlfriend and I live in midtown and walked down to give this place a go. The food was well cooked, beautiful presentation, and good price. The cocktails were really tasty and fun. The waitresses were welcoming and helpful. The service was a little delayed but that could be getting used to the covid restrictions and guidelines. I had a terrific experience calling to confirm my reservation and the likelihood I would be a few minutes late. We were seated in our preferred place on the patio. The cocktails were unique and yummy (although it took too long for them to be delivered); the food was unique and fantastic....can't wait to return.

Loved the food and taste of our drinks. Only thing is that one of us in our party ordered a glass of the house wine. Or what they thought was house wine. Had two glasses and then when the bill came found out that each glass was $35? Was surprised at the expense and a bit bummed because we had enjoyed everything else to this point.

We like the place, the server was great, the food was delicious. This is our 2nd
time to the place. The problem is with the owner. He just is not a very friendly
person. He needs to treat all his customers like they matter, and be appreciative
that he has the business he has. The restaurant has lots of potential if the owner
would let it happen. He really is keeping the customers from returning.

This is the second time here and we are very disappointed in the service. Both times they served our food before the drinks. This place has a top notch bar with drinks. When you come in you want a drink right away. Hire more bartenders or something. The waitress came and checked on us once and when we wanted another drink we couldn’t even find her. So we left and went somewhere else to drink. Food was excellent though.

We love Pacific by Noru. We've eaten there many, many times. Everything, especially the food, is always great. However, last Friday night, the group sitting directly next to us on the outside patio were so LOUD that we had to scream across our table to be heard. We asked them to please use their "quiet voices", which they did not. We never mentioned it to management, but we should have. I feel the wait staff should have asked them to be more quiet as it was obvious they were disturbing us. Just something I feel you should be aware of when people are sitting close to one another. BTW- no one else was on the patio. Thanks! All this being said we will come back as we love the restaurant.
