While culinary temptations beckon from Santa Barbara to Ventura, some of the area's finest dining takes place right at The Shoals Restaurant.
The innovative cuisine features the freshest of seasonal American ingredients, its flavors, and textures matched only by the beauty of its presentation. The Shoals presents an ever-changing menu specializing in fresh local seafood and produce and offers both indoor or alfresco seating beside the blue Pacific. And for those special business meetings and banquets, the Shoals provides an unforgettable venue.
The Shoals is open Tuesday-Sunday for dinner and Wednesday-Friday for lunch, with brunch available on Saturdays and Sundays. The Lunch and Dinner is presently closed Mondays and Tuesdays but we hope to expand our hours soon.

Everything was perfect! We celebrated a bachelorette party with my coworkers and we sat outside on a perfect size table right on the edge of the grass by the cliff right by the ocean. The view was spectacular! Like being on an island.

We couldn’t have had a better day! It is the loveliest place to have a seaside lunch. It’s quiet and private and yet very accessible. The food was amazing, the service was wonderful. The servers were attentive and yet left us to visit and enjoy a leisurely lunch. We wanted to stay there all day and just soak up the perfect scenery. They never rushed us and yet it was a busy day. Celebrated my mom’s 89th birthday today. It’s beach-front, gorgeous patio and ocean views, service was amazing, the perfect lunch. The sun came out as we arrived and just made the entire experience spectacular. Breathtaking location - we loved everything about it. There is a pretty steep sloped, narrow paved pathway to get a wheelchair or walker down to the restaurant and no elevator, and only one handicapped parking space, but other than that, it was a lovely birthday lunch in a beautiful setting! We did appreciate the staff who quickly offered to help get my mom down the steep path safely, thank you! We’ll definitely be back!

The salmon was a thick steak with vegetables
The sea bass special was tasty and presented beautifully

We love Shoals ! The most beautiful ocean side location. Food is delicious. And service is good. (Although sonetimes spotty because they only have two servers for the entire patio). Just know you may have a little wait time for initial drink service. Its such a beautiful setting we dont mind!
Only small issue is the heater use….sometimes on , sometimes no gas to use. So heat on patio (and it does get cold due to location. A suggestion is that the heaters be checked each afternoon before the dinner crowd comes in.
Over-all….its a lovely evening with yummy food.

Service and food is always great! Staff is very professional and nice! Chef does a great job of presenting entree with wonderful sauces and always perfectly cooked. Requested better table view online for our anniversary but only a corner partial view was left- only downfall of evening! Order the flourless chocolate cake- it’s amazing!

I made lunch reservation on Table Agent and was asked if reservation was for a special occasion and I indicated we would be celebrating my wife's birthday. The greeting upon arrival did not wish my wife happy birthday and waitress also said nothing about my wife's birthday or provide any small desert after our lunch for her to recognize why we were having lunch there. Very disappointing experience!!
