It was our third visit, and previously we have ordered off the menu. This time we were part of a group celebrating an event. The upstairs private room was reserved for us at the cost of $175. per person. The appetizers were good, but it was strictly downhill from there! I requested a vegetable plate instead of the choices we were offered. What was served to me was a withered baked potato, a mound of burned mushroom pieces, and some soggy broccolini. All three were heavily salted, slathered with butter and appeared to have spent too much time under the warmer. I am surprised that your chefs made so uncreative a response to a request for a vegetarian offering, not an unusual request in this city. The service was mediocre, and got worse as the evening progressed. All the main courses arrived late, way long after the starters. I requested a cup of coffee before dessert was served and I did not get it for 15 minutes after the dessert arrived. I requested decaf, but I know from my sleepless night that I was served regular coffee. (I asked the waitress when she deposited the cup in front of me if in fact it was decaf, and she just mumbled, so I should have known better than to drink it. My fault: I knew she didn't want to bother to walk downstairs.) Vibrato is strictly for the music. Prospective guests will be advised by me from now on to listen from the bar with a drink or two and avoid the dining room. What a waste!
