I made my reservation on line.
When I got to the establishment I was told the booking system was down.
We were sat at a table for 6 then asked to move as more reservations came in.
We moved with no hesitation.
The staff were friendly and polite.
I ordered the Sage and Stone breakfast which included coffee .
I ordered a cappuccino and I was varged the full price of same.
I thought I may pay an extra 1 or 2 euro but to be charged the whole amt is way overpriced .
My breakfast came to 15.25.
Way too expensive.

Customer service non-exsistent. Arrived to celebrate a Birthday lunch for my Mum on Tuesday for a group of 6, to be greeted by a sign saying closed for the day. Things happen, however no attempt made to contact me on the morning to explain booking would be cancelled, no contact from them since. Very poor, and dissappointing experience.

Really gorgeous experience. Really well trained young staff, who went above and beyond to assist. Actually, my mother who was enjoying her first visit to Sage and Stone, decided to have a starter of soup - and the fabulous young gentleman who was waiting on our table, brought a small taster of the soup to her, before she decided on her starter! We were so impressed. Thank you all at Sage and Stone.

While the food was nice the service left an awful lot to be desired. My vegetarian daughter asked for a toasted cheese sandwich & was told rather rudely that the only toasted sandwiches available were chicken & cheese or ham & cheese. In 2023!! No staff member came back to ask if everything was ok or to offer us tea or coffee. Even though you kindly accommodated us with an extra seat at the table when we were 3 instead of 2 that good gesture was soon forgotten by us when we encountered such rude staff. Overall it’s very was very expensive for what we got. Quite a disappointing experience not sure we’ll come back or recommend you to others.

Upon arrival, we were left waiting as the Maitre D was on the phone. 3 servers who were not busy, just looked over at us rather than assist us.We were seated outside, by choice. However, we were then forgotten about for about 20 minutes. When our food arrived, the pudding was completely burnt and the bacon was streaked with lumps of white. I had ordered beans, they were forgotten. We weren't offered extra coffe. Quite disappointing considering all of the reviews.

We all enjoyed our lunch, food delicious, venue easy accessible. Service good altho' staff are very busy. Only fault was the toilets which need to be cleaned each hour as floors in both toilets were very soiled. So a need to clean toilets regularly also to check toilet paper & paper towels are replenished. I did draw attention to lack of paper towels in ladies toilet. Otherwise lovely experience, we will be back again.

We were booked in for breakfast. The waitress said she didn't hear my mam order a breakfast and only brought her tea & toast. She apologized & brought her a Sage & Stone breakfast but the majority of it was inedible. The pudding & bacon were rock hard. Was disappointed but would return again.

I have to be honest I'd struggle to go back which is such a pity given its a local restaurant to me. I've been a number of times and had relatively good experiences but yesterday when I took my wife and 2 young kids (3rd birthday) it was poor. After viewing the kids menu there was no variation in the offering. All too often kids menus consist of nothing but chips and a type of processed meat. You need to give a little more choice. That aside we noticed there was a pasta dish on special and thought "well I'm sure they'd do just a plain pasta for the 3 year old. Flat out no and no explanation. So we ended up having to order an overpriced lunch special just to give her some pasta . We ended up just getting 2 dishes between us and giving our daughter the pasta. Not only did you do yourselves out of money on this visit but for future ones as well. Plus we have a large family out this way (5 separate families with 3 kids minimum) who all now know that this place is not suitable. Such a pity and I rarely complain and always try to support local businesses!! Oh and you asked on the booking was there a reason for the visit, why ask if you do nothing in the way of recognising it. A simple wish would have made a difference. Got to do better

A lovely venue- I was looking forward to going as it had been highly recommended. On arrival we gave the girl on the desk our details (had prebooked). She then engaged in a long telephone conversation with someone looking to make a booking so we were waiting quite a while to be seated. (Another member of staff could have seated us- weren’t busy at time). We were a party of three put at a table for 6 but after ordering we were moved to a table for two (to allow for a larger party to be seated at the larger table). I totally understand this but a table for 4 would have been better- we were extremely tight for space at small table. My daughter had pancakes which were lovely. I had a small fried breakfast which was dreadful. The toast and egg were perfect but the sausages, bacon and pudding were very over cooked. Very disappointed. The young staff (particularly the girls) were incredibly friendly and cheerful and there was a nice atmosphere in the place but the food was very disappointing.

Table booked for 12.30 but had to queue for 15 minutes and weren’t seated until 12.45. My omelette arrived minus fries and I asked our waitress who told me she would check it out but never got back to me . My friend waited 1 hour for her soup and sandwich- soup was tepid when it finally arrived . I ordered a cake as I was finished my omelette by this time . When we went to pay the waitress said she wouldn’t charge for the cake or the soup sandwich combo because of the delays and lack of fries. My bill came to 32.90 ( I bought 3 Bakewell tarts to take away) . By my calculations I should have paid €12(omelette) €4.20 (teas) and €10.50 ( tarts ) total €26.70 so overpaid by €6.20!. I do appreciate that it was your first day opening but it was annoying to be offered refunds and then to pay €6.20 extra. I will be back to try lunch another day and hope my experience will be better.

We asked for water but all we got were the glasses. I had to go up to the counter after we ate to ask for the bottle of water. My wife asked for the avocado with bacon, but she didn't get the bacon. The food was fantastic however, Eggs Royal was amazing

We had a really lovely meal, the restaurant was very busy. Plenty of staff so we weren’t waiting long for our order to be taken, food was served quickly. Staff were also patience and funny with the kiddies.

This was our second visit. On both occasions the greeting / Covid checking was tedious. Patrons who booked were also considerably delayed with the greeter dealing with them. More greeters please.

Lovely spot. Very busy. We waited over half an hour for our food..However- we could see they were under pressure. Staff are wonderful. Patient but efficient. Food is excellent: Bistro style. Well worth the wait.

The food was excellent. X 2 coeliacs and be had the avocado, poached egg with bacon option. Best breakfast and so fresh. Service a was very slow after we received our brunch. We requested dessert menu and waited with menus 20+ minutes and had to call table staff to take our cake and beverage order. Even then there seemed to be some debate/ delay over who should take the order! Nobody was checking in or present on the floor. ? Staff breaks? We were 1hr 40 just for brunch and cake. Thankfully we were in no major hurry.

Love this location. It has so much to offer. Unique community experience from eating to shopping local. Only issue is that our table was just a little too close to other diners. I could reach out and touch their table.
Have had booster jab, so felt more confident than I might have a few weeks earlier.
Otherwise, as always, I enjoyed it all, and I will be back.
