The wait staff did an excellent job considering the conditions they were working in. There was clear confusion in service—servers had to check multiple tables to match orders, and we both received items meant for other tables and had some of ours sent elsewhere. Despite this, the staff remained attentive and professional, and we made sure to tip accordingly.
When we first arrived, we noticed the manager, though we weren’t sure if she was working that evening or not, carrying and drinking from an open container. After about a 10-minute wait, we were seated and able to order drinks and appetizers, which came out quickly and hot.
As the evening progressed, the line for ordering food, drinks, and seating grew extremely long, stretching out both entrances. When our appetizers were delivered, we asked the waitress who brought them if we could write down our order to help streamline the process given the congestion. Shortly after that request, the manager came out to our table.
Her approach was noticeably hostile from the start. She stated it was unacceptable to change their process for one table, and her tone quickly became aggressive. When we tried to offer a suggestion to help reduce the visible confusion among staff, she became increasingly confrontational and told us we needed to wait in line like everyone else. We ultimately agreed to do so once the line died down.
After returning to our table, we later observed the manager near the doorway to the restrooms and ice cream area, appearing to take photos in our direction. While we cannot confirm her intent, the timing and context made the situation feel uncomfortable and inappropriate.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. The manager’s demeanor and handling of the situation was unprofessional and detracted from what would have otherwise been a positive visit. We’ve visited this location many times without issue, which made this experience especially surprising. I hope the staff receives the support
