Being a holiday weekend, it was jammed. We were seated promptly at our reserved time and our server was a familiar pleasant face. It was obvious, that like many businesses, they were very short staffed. Our appetizers were a long time coming as was our main course, again, short staffing, likely the problem. The hostess came a couple of times to apologize, but we were in good company so didn’t really mind the wait. My wife and I shared a crab cake appetizer which we both agreed was good. She ordered Crusted Cod which is her favorite, and I, hanger steak. It as cooked a perfect medium rare and served attractively with green beans and finger potatoes with pesto. Wonderful. My wife said her cod was very good, but not very hot. Out friends had lamb slide which were announced as delicious, and our server went out of her way to allow one of our party to order from the tavern menu. Nice touch! The Coach is one of our favorite places and while the pace of service left something to be desired, it was good. Tough times when you shut down a country.
