It was a lovely experience.. Took me back when mum was here she had the best mother's day experience. And felt the environment... Hasn't changed. And that's what l enjoyed. . But my daughter enjoyed her birthday breakfast... Looking fi8to afternoon tea... And also the lunch box.. Am aware now you need 48 hours notice. ... Any thing l would change... Probably make the window area.. More prettier... As it's a lovely seating view.. However.. Maybe more.. Thought on decorating the window area..... However... Just won't to say see you soon.... And for sure if you keep up the efforts you are putting in and good team work... You should... Are.... Doing well and will continue to make everyone s visit a memorable vitit.... And your cakes are tasty too...

We had a lovely afternoon tea and enjoyed the whole experience.
However, it was the first time we had been and had a gift voucher from our children but was sent an invoice for £10 before the date and there was no way of informing you. We were quite worried and had to email twice before we were told that we didn’t have to pay. Perhaps an additional section on the booking form would alleviate the upset.

This was a really lovely experience and one that I hope to repeat with friends . However I find it a bind that I can’t book over the phone . I find technology difficult at the best of times . I understand that you can’t have a phone in the building because of it’ s age ,but must have internet to take online bookings , I always thought you had to have a landline to have internet . I was a little disappointed to find that the Latte I ordered was not included in the price. I feel we should have been told that when we were given the menu. Just small details

We have used Bake & Roast for catering and buying from their old shop on Chorley Old Road but this was our first visit to Bake & Roast Tearoom at Smithills Hall and it was excellent! The Full Works breakfast was the best I've ever had. Totally different from your normal full English.....the brie and bacon element worked perfectly with the poached eggs on sourdough toast and the tomato relish was very tasty. Absolutely delicious. We'll be back!

Lovely time at Bake & Roast. Can highly recommend the Greek yoghurt with honey, fruit and granola. Coffee great too. Very friendly professional staff in a lovely setting. Cakes look amazing.
