This was my first visit to Chambers, but certainly won't be my last. Everything about it was excellent, I only wish I'd been feeling a bit better and I would have enjoyed it more, but I will definitely return - to food was lovely and I will be trying it at Lyttleton Terrace because I haven't been there either. All in all, a great place to go.

This was my friends and I’s first time at the Chambers. We were a mixed age bunch, ranging from 18yrs to 53 and all agreed how much we enjoyed it. Kudos to you for creating a unique, well run, affordable venue with friendly staff and delicious food.
Pffft the other “gold class” option in Bendigo doesn’t even rate.
You’ve won yourself some new loyal followers!

Just love it all - especially the Velvet Elvis cocktail......deadly. Hope to be able to get it after Elvis leaves the building! Special kudos to Ben and Travis. Sad to see the mayor-chair languishing and lonely.....bloody heritage society

We love the venue, the food and the vibe. Service was great. Lovely way to kick off the weekend. One small improvement would be a more interesting offering of non- alcoholic drink options. E.g. Alcohol free beers or Gin & Tonic. We will be back. Phil and Jane

The curry was tasty but I would have preferred the vegetables weren't so evenly diced that they looked a little like they'd come out of a can. Sorry! Would not let that stop me going back. Very friendly service.

Wonderful experience, service fantastic !!!
I’ve been before and will be going back.
Downside, menu too limited, perhaps a menu relevant to the period of the room, or fine dining.
Also, I’m not sure you can do anything with the noise level given the room, however this won’t stop us from returning.
Also, it would be interesting to know the history of the Chambers room.

Great choice of local wines - but too many craft beers, Carlton draught or VB would have been appreciated.This beer choice had one of your guests sitting on water for the meal.

My experience dining at the Chambers was lovely, the service and the food were really great, there was a problem with the chairs at our table, the springs were very uncomfortable poking out, I tried all the chairs around our table & they were all bad, but the staff took care of that straight away & gave us some comfortable ones, the only other thing would be the lighting is not very atmospheric, maybe some table lamps low down or even candles would warm up the space!

This was my second visit to The Chambers. The service & ambience have been terrific. I feel the food could be improved. I ordered the Salmon dish on my first visit & felt it lacked taste. Last night my husband & I shared the tasting plate with a side salad & chips. The falafel & arancini balls also were lacking in taste but the chicken and salad were delicious. My husband on our first visit & the other guests enjoyed their meals. I don’t feel I am picky just a bit disappointed.

We were a group of 8. We had a lovely time but the table we sat out was very wide & therefore we needed to talk quite loudly to be heard . Due to the size of the main room there was quite a bit of noise but the architecture & history is part of the charm so we were prepared for that. The food & wine were very good and our waitress was very pleasant. We had to wait rather a long time before a staff member was free to check us in & find our table as the Chambers was very busy - maybe someone to greet patrons st the top of the stairs or a ‘map’ of the rooms with table placements would be handy. This may have impacted our Film if we had only allowed an hour to eat but 1 1/2 hours meant we were finished in plenty of time for the film . An overall enjoyable experience for our group.
