This was our 2nd trip to Hinterland Winery. We used our Harvest Host membership to camp there both times and love this place! The owners are so gracious and the restaurant staff is amazing! The new fall menu is great! We will be going back regularly.

This was a great experience! The vineyard was beautiful! We got to see them use the picking machine which was really interesting. The owners were very friendly and came to greet us after we got set up. We ate on the patio at the cute little restaurant, had a delicious meal with wine, and bought a bottle for the road. Our spot was along the edge of the parking area so we stepped out right onto lush grass. It was a great experience for us.

We made patio reservations but the temperature and humidity soured into the 90's, we were wilting, Hinterland's allowed us to be seated inside.
This is casual dining. We felt at home in short-sleeved shirts, shorts, and sandals.
The beef burgers satisfied the grandkids with us. The Salmon and Portabella burger were tasty and met our expectations for flavor and portion size.
The chocolate cake got high remarks, and the ice cream cinnamon dish got top marks from our grandson.
Okay, a bit on the expensive side, but reasonable.

I wish we could have been seated inside because the wind was quite strong. I understand that it was not due to the owners but rather their Governor's stupidity but it did affect the experience.
Also, there was a little bit of confusion on directions for someone not local. Maybe signage for parking for restaurant, who to see about Harvest Hosts, whether you seat yourself or wait for a hostess, etc. Also, a bit funky not having a hostess station upon entry.

Wonderful farm, restaurant and Vineyard! The wine was tasty, and the service excellent. I wonder. If you’re headed out exploring western Minnesota. On that note, if that’s your aim, to explore, I highly recommend driving north up to Willmar and along the Glacial Ridge Trail scenic byway to Alexandria. Beautiful hills & valleys carved out by the glaciers! Makes for amazing fall color viewing in the the middle of October

The food is what will make people come back. The wine and full bar are an added bonus. Paper plates and plastic silverware are not something I associate with a winery.

We traveled from West Fargo, ND. I'll look forward to traveling to Spicer for your new establishment. We enjoyed the experience. We were excited we got to taste all of your wines and cider with the tasting. It was a wonderful value. Our suggestions would be to have your servers explain more about each wine (grape, age, how aged, etc) during the tastings. The food had good flavor but was saltier than we prefer. Will look forward to a larger menu in the future. Disappointed there was no entertainment this summer while we were there. It was very hot/sunny outside so would recommend having shaded area to sit outside in Spicer. Servers were very nice and friendly. Thank you for the complimentary dessert on my birthday. Had the chocolate cake and it was decadent and delicious! Wines are unique and very good. My husband was delighted you have a tawny port. I wish we would have had more room in our motorcycle to buy more than 1 bottle. :-)

The service was great, but the food just wasn't very good. It wasn't hot enough, and the ingredients didn't seem like they were high quality, especially the chips. Usually nachos are made with homemade tortilla chips at restaurants. These tasted like discount brand ones I've gotten at the grocery store. I would definitely not charge $15 for these nachos. The wine tasted good though!
