Delicious creative food, thank you. AS always very attractive atmosphere and decor. So glad you are part of the Gabriola community. Due to hard surfaces we would of liked the music lower volume to enhance conversation. Wondering if you can consider a Gabriola resident discount off season only or maybe off season Wed to Fri only for parties of four or more? I am thinking this may encourage locals to attend, bring local friends or visitors. Suggest you make it clearer on your website that happy hour is every day you are open not just Saturdays. Thank you. Thank you for a great experience.

Great everything!!! The no-crust cheesecake is to die for. One teensy suggestion is to ramp up the spice level just a tad on some dishes to increase their interest. A very wonderful addition to Gabriola! We will be regulars.

Everything was lovely including the decor but it was very warm and the heat pump cooling system was not on. The Wait staff were very efficient and spaced the serving of food just right. I also liked the decor. The reason I gave a 9 for ambience was that the noise level was a bit high. Neither the warmth or the noise level was enough to deter me from coming to enjoy your space many more times. The Hostess was exceptional. Sharon Brooks (7 p.m. March 31st)

I had said zee Chef “ Made My Palette Sing!” on every morsel and all dishes. 10 out of 10 maybe 11 of 10. Best dining and tastes of being on Gabriola since 1989. Staff were superb and thoughtful Ambience and interior design beautiful and tasteful. Only issue was it was loud with diners talking excitedly. Would nt stop me from coming back. An outside Patio would be great and I understand that may happen next year. Congratulations! Burro Rosa will lift Gabriolan spirits for the quality and another dining choice.

This was my fifth time there, and I've enjoyed the experience each time, and I love that Burro Rosa is there and want it to be there a long time, so it hurts me to say that there was a noticeable dip in the quality of certain dishes. (I've ordered my favourite things each time, so it was easy to compare.) Basically, the quality of the deep-fried things has fallen. Either the oil or method itself. The chicken thighs, my favorite, was way more heavily breaded and brown and thick with its coating. I could taste the oil. Similarly, the cauliflower used to be lighter in both texture and colour, but last night was deep brown and heavily coated and tasted mostly of oil--I couldn't taste cauliflower at all, when before I could. Hope this helps. I'm still a fan. I've watching the other eateries on Gabriola rise and fall in quality over the years, and sometimes disappear, so I know that this is a hard place to succeed. I wish you luck!

We enjoyed our several experiences at Burro Rosa but we found it extremely noisy! Obviously everyone is having a good time. The seating varies; the high table by the door is uncomfortable while those by the wall are better. The service is very good; the food is delivered in a timely manner and the staff are helpful in describing the dishes. Value for money depends on the dish. Some servings (meatballs) are generous while others (prawns) are somewhat skimpy for the price. Having been five times since your opening, we are learning what to order. The cheesecake is outstanding and is our dessert of choice.

I love this place. It reminds me of being in Spain. We on gab are soooo lucky to have this restaurant. Only thing is the Tinto/ Sangria. Why not Sangria? Tinto is to bitter for me. I need to be sweetened up. A liqueur or brandy with it would hit the spot. The people working there are wonderful.

I mentioned in the reservation that the meal was a birthday celebration- I had hoped that my husband would receive a ‘Happy Birthday ‘ at some stage. Not a huge deal, but why ask if it is a special event if you are going to ignore the answer?

For a Tapas themed small plates establishment, they should increase the number of servers. Food should be continuously coming out of the kitchen- therefore requires quick delivery. The food quality was Amaazing, and the few servers were working very hard to deliver, but they have just opened -so I'm certain they will iron out the wrinkles quickly!
