We had a really nice anniversary dinner! The food was great - made with locally sourced ingredients! The service was really good as well - the owner even came out to talk to us twice. The ambiance of the indoor seating is just so-so but the view from the outdoor seating is beautiful! We will definitely be back again.

We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Taproot Public House. Daniel waited on us, attentive, friendly, and made our drinks quickly and beautifully. Brett stopped by our table twice, telling us about the menu and how he prepared our dishes. The food! Was delightful and surprising and so fresh and delicious. Our filet was perfectly cooked and the risotto and salmon as well. The garlicky spinach was incredible and mashed potatoes fluffy and rich. Everything was perfection. We are thrilled to have Taproot close to home.

Ordered fish and chips received fish and fries. Also order lettuce wrapped lobster (was told it would be warm) received lobster roll on bread. Returned for wrap and received cold lobster with lettuce laying on top of lobster. Meal was not to our previous good experience.

We've eaten here many times. Once I was reservation shamed for not making reservations.
This visit I infact did my part to make reservations.
Later that day I received a text letting me know my reservations wouldn't be honored, because the business is no longer open on the day/evening I made reservations.
I did my part by checking the advertised hours of operation. I made my ANNIVERSARY plans around the advertised hours, to receive the cancellation was appropriated but was also disappointing. I will go back, as the choices to dine in our town are slim, but I'm still frustrated. The text did point out they will honor the Bogo burger special? I wasn't going for the special for my 20 yr anniversary anyway. I was going to enjoy a nice evening with my husband and our 5yr old. We understand the problem with being short staffed, but we don't understand why if the decision to close was made, then the advertised hours of operation should have certainly been changed as well. Sorry I cant fairly rate our experience

The food was wonderful. We had crab cakes and mussels and Brussels fries. We highly recommend all three. The Key Lime pie was some of the best I’ve had. The servers were very attentive and the food was to us in record time. I’m so glad to have this restaurant here in Lewisburg.
