If I tell you starting with having Thanksgiving there I have been at Bohemians Spirit 4 times this month.! Everytime I take someone there they want to come back sooner rather than later.

Great meal start to finish. Authentic food and authentic staff. Had the special soup of the day, sauerkraut and sausage, to start. Excellent. Jaegerschnitzel had an tasty cream mushroom sauce. Had the potato pancakes as my side. All portions very generous. Apple strudel for dessert. Everyone of our party of 4 enjoyed our meals. Generous portions - enough for leftovers. I and two guests attended a 90th Birthday Film Event honoring Milosz Forman at the Czech Hall adjacent to The Bohemian Hall, so we decided to have dinner there prior to the event, and it was wonderful! The menu was extensive, the portions large, the service attentive and friendly and everything we ordered was delicious. I used to write for money, so to ask a professional to give away his thoughts for free is beneath me, even for a group such as Table Agent.
Let me say that what happens at Bohemian Spirit stays at Bohemian Spirit. It is that Central European custom of not speaking ill of anyone.
However, if you MUST know, the food was wonderful, the coffee like the women was strong and tasty and the apfelstrudel was equal to a Strauss waltz with the blue waters of the Rhine passing by your table.
I would go back and enjoy the ambiance of the establishment, with its "old" world charm. And, let us not forget from where the Pilzner style of beer came--you get the original formulation here.
So, if you really want to find out about a place, don't be lazy and give short answer without a guide for rating the questions but instead apply the open-ended question and let the responder let forth with words of wisdom and mirth.

Loved almost everything but...the silverware. Please give a small spoon, knife & fork to eat the crepes! And, if shared, divide it before it comes to the table. Only a large spoon was provided which was impossible to cut crepe with or devour with any grace. I was too polite, till towards the end after a struggle, to ask at least for a knife.

Fun visit, would need to go a few more times to get a full list of dishes we like. From the first visit, the schnitzel and mashed potatoes were probably the winners

Every time I am in NYC, I go to the Bohemian Spirit. I like their beer as well as the food. The waitresses are nice and helpful, just like the last time (Michelle). When in NYC again, I'll be back.

Salmon dish and my friend's entree were perfect. The desserts, though quite good, did not quite meet the same standard. I had the strawberry dumplings in beer broth, and my friend had the crepes. We would rather have had the crepes thinner and crispier and the dumplings a little less doughy, but maybe that's how they are in Czech cuisine. Overall, we enjoyed very much.

We had very friendly service with an atmosphere filled with Bohemian charm and culture at Bohemian Spirit! The meal of trout with vegetables was delicious and well prepared as was the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream.

A fresh, open restaurant layout. Spacious and comfortable. Loved the Czech photos and art. The food was delicious, well prepared and served. The pilsner beer on tap of delicious. A hidden gem of a restaurant.

The duck confit was some of the best duck I have ever eaten. It was so tender and the sauce was lights and smooth. Also, the palachenken was superb!
