The only negative was that I thought the fish cakes with the eggs Benedict were somewhat small.
But the flavours and presentation were excellent.
Two regular eggs Benny on English muffins. One on fish cakes. One fish and chips. All very much enjoyed.

We love this place and visit regularly, but the last two visits we’ve had some disappointment with the quality of the steaks. Our server took care of us both times and made sure that we were taken care of, but when you have to wait for your dated meal to get remade, it kind of puts a damper on the experience. This time was the quality and size of the ribeye. Thin and tough. Swapped it out for the top sirloin , which isn’t what he wanted, but was better quality than the ribeye for sure.

Fantastic dining experience at 1886 Lake house Bistro! Top notch service and attention to detail. Our server was very polite and helpful and always gave us the time and privacy we needed. We loved the 3 course valentine menu. Amazing food quality and portion sizes... the braised pork cheeks with risotto ranks up there as one of the best dishes I've ever had! We are lucky to have such an awesome place to dine out at!!

Everything was great as usual.
The wait staff was excellent, attentive to details and timing at being present at the table.
The $10 lunch special is great value for your money and a great way to draw people in to perhaps get their first experience at the bistro.
I see it up for sale and for the owners sake I hope that there is a purchase, but I definitely hope whoever takes over will continue to provide the excellent food service that we’ve come to known

When we got there they did not have the reservation!
We were accommodated but I was disapointed and we were kept waiting to allow for table to be setup

Food was great, it was a bit crowded but they moved us to a quiet area for our anniversary dinner.
Price was better than most places and the portions were filling.
We will be back.

The majority of the food was just excellent. Mussels, Pasta, Meatloaf, Artic Char- all yummy! Great serving size. The fish and chips though were served with the coleslaw loose in the basket and the fluid seeped into the fried fish and fries-my husband didn't like the flavor of the coleslaw and so the flavor being seeped into everything ruined his dish. Nothing a small dish couldn't have solved. The breadbasket was sad:(

This is a hidden gem! You truly felt at home here and the food is incredible as is the staff. Their wine menu was a little overwhelming, but award winning at the same time. We will 100% be back for more date nights.

everything was great. I think the bartender was weak on measuring his alcohol/cheap in his drinks, which always kind of leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth, so I ended up going to the casino, and they knew how to mix a proper old-fashioned drink and mix it correctly little weak on the alcohol would be my only complaint
