- If you are unable to join us for your reservation due to weather and outdoor seating please call us to cancel your reservation.
- Are you B.Y.O.?
- Apulia is no longer a bring your own. We serve wine, beer, and cocktails. You are still welcome to bring wine with a $20 per bottle corkage fee. Beer, and other canned beverages are not allowed. Liquor is prohibited.
- Why do you charge a cancellation fee?
- Apulia is an independently-owned small business, not a chain or franchised corporate machine. Economic tightening on the small business sector means that we need to navigate carefully. If you choose to block a table from other guests, and then you do not show up & fail to communicate - not only do we interpret that as disrespectful (we are Italians, after all) but it also greatly impacts our livelihood and how we feed our families. Please have consideration and you will find it is returned.
- Do you have Gluten-free pizza?
- Yes, we have both gluten-free pizza crust that is cooked in a separate electric oven. We also have a gluten-free penne pasta.
- What is the preferred dress code?
- Apulia is as serious as you make it. While we take our cusine and product very seriously, we want people to feel comfortable and have genuine experience. Forget any pretentiousness at the door!

Hi-I love apulia and order delivery quite often. This is the second time I’ve dined in, and the service was not great unfortunately. The host was a bit rude and abrupt, and some of the staff were rushing us to leave before we were even done with our food (ps- if you could cut the pizza slices better that would be great, we spent a lot of time trying to cut a slice for everyone w a butter knife). I understand the restaurant had hit closing time, but be rushed out isn’t a nice experience. I will still come back, though, because I love the food, ambience, and I really want to support your restaurant!

Our pasta came out super quick which I appreciated but it wasn’t warm, room temp at best. Noodles were stuck together, apparently it came with brown truffle but I genuinely did not get that truffle taste nor see shavings or even a sprinkle of it at least. I did enjoy the pizza, that was the bright spot. Our server wasn’t awful but considering it’s a very small restaurant, I did expect a “how’s everything guys?” And the refills weren’t as quick. I finished my aperol spritz during the pasta, and didn’t get another until we finished the pizza. Would I come back? Not entirely sure to be quite honest. I may come back, but I would not recommend it to my friends.

Normally, I love this place. The pizza is superb. However, when we walked in they said they were having kitchen problems and there would be no salads or pastas. That out a damper on the situation. They rebounded with great service and pizza. Nice that they have a liquor license too.

So this is our second time here where we dined outside both times. The first time we were told the service wasn't great because a waiter called out however the second time there was still only one waiter manning the outdoor patio dining area. As a result service is simply too slow here to the point we were told a side of spaghetti couldn't be made in time. Additionally, portions of the caccio e peppe dinner were essentially the same size as a spaghetti side. Disappointing.
Some dishes are good others clearly need help.
Oh and pro tip, don't allow yourself to be seated too close to the building because tenants above seem to enjoy watering their fire escape plants which dump water on the patrons below. Don’t think we will go for a “3rd time is the charm” attempt.

Delicious, fresh, perfectly prepared food, utterly charming ambiance and attentive service. We especially loved the pizza dough which was chewy yet crunchy, and the artichoke and arugula salad with shaved Parmesan. We’ll be back! Lots more yummy food and excellent Italian wine to try. Oh, and the Tiramisu… heaven.

The food was really good but the way we were greeted and the way our waiter acted was not enjoyable. When we arrived I stated the name and reservation time for the back patio. The guy who greeted us asked if we wanted the back or the front and I asked which was a nicer ambiance and he just laughed and said it was warmer in the front...it very much was not. We requested to be moved to the back patio. When we were seated in the back our waiter Marco came out and asked which wine we wanted opened first. I asked my friend to choose as we were celebrating her birthday (which was mentioned in the reservation notes and nothing was done for her) and as she was choosing the waiter rudely says "3-2-1 choose" as if waiting there for 30 seconds while she chooses was such an inconvenience. When we were ordering, we requested everything to be gluten free which wasn't a problem. We ordered the linguine dish and asked if the gluten free pasta was linguine or something else and our waiter told us it was gluten free linguine--it was not. Our dish came out and it was penne. When we finished our meals the waiter came and said our only gluten free dessert was gelato and we said okay that we just want a few minutes to digest before looking at the dessert menu. After about 5 minutes the waiter comes back and tosses the bill on our table and walks away, doesn't even say anything. As we look at the bill we notice a service charge and a bottle opening charge. We asked our waiter what the service charge was and he said it was for opening the wine I said then why is there a separate opening charge and he said oh I don't know I am new here let me go ask. Now we had put our credit cards down and he took the bill, took our cards, and we watched him go in and just charge our cards--didn't even try to pretend to go and talk to someone. Just overall not an enjoyable time due to the way we were treated. Marco is sneaky and a liar.

We dined on the back patio for dinner. Even though it was hot that evening, we were comfortable because patio is in the shade. Pizza, salad and tiramisu were all excellent and reasonably priced. In addition, while Apulia sells wine, bringing your own is allowed which helps keep the tab low. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. We eat a lot of pizza, Apulia's pizza is the best we have had in Hoboken. The pizza is light and not greasy.

Hello- we were a party of 5. Brian was an excellent waiter and we enjoyed the outdoor dining . ( oil the main door were ppl go in and out - very noisy) Calamari was very good ! Batter so light ! We had two pizzas which were delicious - just slightly soggy in the middle . Of the five pasta dishes , two were very very salty- the carbonara and the cacio de Pepe. Unfortunately, we were unable to finish those because of the salt . I enjoyed the fusilli pesto and the two pistachio pesto pasta were very good . A little rich, but were enjoyed . Homemade pastas were very light .
Desserts were delicious! Shared a gelato and tiramisu. Overall , a nice dining experience .

Back porch was nice. Staff/service was very strong. Pizzas were tasty but didn’t come out piping hot so they must have sat for a bit after coming out of the oven. That was the only drawback. Otherwise would recommend and go again.

Overall great. Will go back. Good salads and pizza... even the gluten free pizza which is not easy. Pasta portion could have been a bit bigger, wine by the glass would be nice, or byob, and although it was the end of a holiday weekend they were out of too many gelato flavors and the single scoop was ridiculously small as were the espresso shots...but all in all we are looking forward to going again!

Food was good! Not sure if you were short staffed on Friday 10/20, but our waiter did not have any bussing help, our table was very slow to be cleaned up and plates and cups removed or switched out. Our server was very nice and helpful and attentive though. Additionally, it was incredibly hot inside, I had to step out and cool off outside at one point! I understand the pizza oven is hot, but I have been to many restaurants that use a pizza oven and the temperature is fine inside. Not sure what the reason for the extreme heat was. For those two reasons, unfortunately would not come back again.

food is great. need those trays to get the pizzas off the table along with bigger plates for family style dining. I know it isnt that kinda place but it is pizza. I think you should also provide knives to cut things down a bit. Like - for sharing the sausage I needed to use the knife that I was eating with but... we were sharing. We were fine with that but it is a pandemic. I did ask and I was denied. But all in all a great meal.

Horrible experience. We ordered 2 appetizers and a pizza. We got the appetizers in a normal time 20-30 minutes. When we were done the apps, we waited for the pizza for over an hour. We kept asking where it was and the waiter said they must've lost the ticket and after an hour 20 minutes we asked for the check as we were no longer hungry. It's a shame that we came for the pizza and left without any pizza/dinner. Won't be returning anytime soon. Don't come here hungry because there's a chance you won't get to eat!
