Loved it and very good value. Only small criticism s would be that the chocolate cake was very dry and hard. It would have been nice if we were asked if we wanted more tea or coffee rather than have to go and ask. The sandwiches were tasty

This was my fifth visit in the last 3/4 months. The Springfield is my go to place if friends suggest a coffee, brunch, lunch etc. The service was excellent, nice to have the choice of sitting outside, in the dining room or just a coffee on a comfy chair.

Had brunch with my friend, I choose smashed avocado with poached egg on sourdough toast, it came with 2 perfectly poached eggs, I made a good choice, it was delicious, very tasty coffee too. Booked a table on the terrace, but we were able to move indoors when it became a bit chilly. Both the terrace and dining room are attractively furnished and have views of the Dee Estuary.
Staff were attentive, but unobtrusive. There was a good range of options on the menu. We ordered a rissotto, fish finge sandwiches and a Greek Salad. All arrived quickly, and were well presented and tasty. I was the only member of our party to order dessert, blackberry parfait, blackberry meringue with jelly cubes and compote served with fresh berries. This was beautifully presented, light, and refreshing. We finished with coffees which came with mini shortbread rounds. Will be back!

We met as a family for Mother's Day meal. The food was very nice with plenty of meat on the roast dinner. The vegetables were beautifully cooked. The service was excellent, with friendly helpful staff. One suggestion, we asked for Diet Coke and when it was brought to us it was Coke Zero which my daughter cannot have, it would have been better to say it was coke zero when we ordered. Not a problem for us but could be a waste for the bar.

Hadn’t been to the Springfield Hotel since they had opened their new restaurant & have to say what an excellent job they have done. It was light & airy with lots of space & excellent views if you want a table by the windows. The staff were as always friendly & welcoming, the service & food was also excellent. Really enjoyed our lunch there, won’t be long before we return I’m sure.
