We are family run, independent restaurant serving amazing craft beers on tap, great wines, cocktails and gins.
Cooking fantastic hand crafted homemade artisan pizzas & much more.
You are welcome to join us for our great homecooked food or just for a relaxing drink.

As our restaurant is located in a Grade II listed building, we regret that we are unable to make modifications for full wheelchair accessibility. Please note that there is a step at the entrance and four more steps along the corridor leading to the restroom, which may present challenges for those with mobility difficulties.
We sincerely apologise for this limitation and deeply appreciate your understanding.
We are delighted to welcome small dogs at our restaurant, preferably outside of peak hours due to our limited space. Please feel free to let us know if you'd like to visit with your furry family member.

Loved the oldies music had us all taping our feet, but Italian would if been better, being an Italian restaurant. Food great, except mushrooms in the pasta dish were too hard, spoilt it. We will be back, thank you.

What a find …Great Italian restaurant. Felt like we were sitting in a cafe in Rome .Food was amazing. The chef even added some pasta to my chicken Milanese , which was the biggest I’ve ever seen. My husband had the lamb which was delicious and his veggies were a delight.

This restaurant is amazing! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our table was ready for us when we arrived (I had a reservation). It was a very busy night though with people being turned away, and our children flagged towards the end as there was a delay in our food arriving. I mentioned it to the staff who immediately brought out some complimentary breads/olives to keep them going. When the food arrived it was delicious. Definitely freshly prepared and high quality. Had we not had our children with us we wouldn’t have minded the delay as the food was worth waiting for. We had a pizza, 2 pasta dishes, a tomato bread and the mussels. Soft drinks and a bottle of wine. All up £90.00 ish which is a decent price for 4 for an evening meal. My children have adult size appetites! Will definitely return when we are back in York.

Another excellent visit. A warm, welcoming cosy place where, despite being small does not feel crowded due to careful placing of the tables. The front of house staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Food was excellent as always, and the range of craft beers, wines, non alcoholic drinks etc extensive to cater for all tastes. The ambience is relaxed and informal with a lovely buzz. It offers excellent value for money and feels like a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

I’ve been twice in the last couple of weeks. The first time the ambience was amazing and it was mainly due to a staff member (possibly the owner) with blonde hair who was lively and friendly and was dancing with customers and great with children which made the experience really special. It was a lot quieter the second time but still enjoyed the food. I’d definitely recommend to friends.
