From walking in to leaving everything was perfect. The taste, quality, and variety of food was AMAZING and personally, we felt it couldn’t be faulted. The wine selection was brilliant, we had two bottles of No 13. We’ve lived in Whitby for 5 years and tried several times to get into Ditto with no luck. This booking was made 3 months in advance, so that alone speaks for itself!! We will definitely be back - my husband rated it as ‘sensational’

Third time eating here and always a treat. We had the three course meal with a lovely bottle of Pinot and each course was an absolute delight! Worth the long lead time when booking a table and we will definitely be back again. Highly recommended!

Just love this restaurant!!! Food to die for, staff just wonderful, lovely touches of homemade bread, dips and complementary sorbets.Excellent value for money. I advice you to book early, we book 6 months in advance to guarantee a table in high season!

We’ve never been disappointed when visiting & tasting the marvellous food created at Ditto. A lovely warm welcome & very swiftly offered warm homemade bread & dips whilst we made our choices from the menu. We had 3 courses, each one carefully thought out & delicious. The flavours just superb. A fabulous relaxed evening with attentive friendly staff, for whom nothing was ever too much trouble. Perfect! Here’s hoping we can get booked in again soon!

What a superb meal! The chef is without doubt Michelin Star quality. Courses beautifully balanced with sauces of the highest quality. This small eatery is fully booked for weeks and is owned by the chef. This was a fine birthday treat. Thank you to all the staff Mike and Sue Holborn

This is a lovely restaurant with great quality food and a good ambience. It was also very well priced - the front of house staff are very friendly and helpful. Our starters of duck and cauliflower were delicious as were our mains of fish and beef. The lemon posset was nice - but was not very delicately served…..maybe put the posset in a meringue nest and crumble amaretto biscuits over - rather than chunks of biscuits . But we would definetly recommend and if we lived nearer - we would certainly return.

Ditto came highly recommended by a neighbour and it didn’t disappoint. We were given a warm welcome by the 2 front of house staff, who were friendly but very professional. The menu wasn’t extensive which I prefer, but the food was excellent quality and well presented. The pace of the service was neither rushed nor waiting too long so just right. Will definitely visit again.

Took us ages to accept that we needed to book well ahead to eat at Ditto. Finally bit the bullet, having tried for cancellations... And it was superb. Rarely do you get three exceptional courses and great service. We've eaten all sorts of food at Michelin etc and this is up there with the best for the complete experience. A very warm and friendly welcome. Complimentary bread and dips and sorbet unexpected but really appreciated. Food and service excellent. Melt in the mouth ox cheek. The flaked mackerel starter and the lamb shoulder mains just zinged with flavours and taste, my husband had cod croquettes and then the tastiest duck breast ever. We even gave the staff our phone number in case there was a cancellation for the next evening, but as it’s so popular no luck. I am Coeliac and the menu choices are tweaked to make them gluten free . If we come to stay in Whitby in the future, we will book well in advance to save disappointment.

Couldn't have been better. Two London foodies were bowled over by the whole experience. From the home-made balsamic to the light dessert built around carrot cake, it was an amazing meal. I'd say be sure to eat there if you're in Whitby, but actually I would suggest going to Whitby to eat there. Thank you for a very special evening!

Fantastic food, beautifully cooked and all fresh. I love the fact the menu is small and all obviously cooked by the chef. A refreshing change to the usual choices in Whitby. I will definitely visit again and encourage friends to dine here.

Lovely restaurant, great tasting food. The duck starter was exceptional. The beef shoulder was good, not so keen on the parmasan on the top of the potato, it gave it a gritty texture. Good service would definitely come again and recommend.

For such a small restaurant tucked away in Whitby I was impressed. The food was excellent, I had confit of duck followed by steamed coley. The fish was cooked perfectly. There wine list was limited and the quality of the food deserved maybe a couple of higher end wine options, but we found something decent enough on there.

We loved Ditto. Relaxed pleasant atmosphere, great playlist in the background, friendly but efficient service, interesting menu and extremely enjoyable food throughout. Wine excellent too. Will have no hesitation in visiting again next time we're in Whitby. Overall, superb value for money.

Really nice food that was tasty and well prepared; service was superb - not rushed but not sat around. Waitresses were very attentive. Some background music to takeaway the unease when it went quiet. Negatives - plate for main course was cold. After such a great service, we wanted to leave a tip, but this could t be done by card and we had no cash on us. That lost the girls about £7 or £8.

Loved this place, very intimate with nice ambiance. Service was friendly and efficient, tiny criticism that they were a little quick bringing bread as soon as we sat down and wasn’t too keen on the dips offered with them, maybe an oil or aioli? Food delicious, loved the croquettes and the red pepper sauce, also tried hubby’s mackerel with beetroot and goats cheese and pickled veg which was a knockout combination. I had the pork for main which was cooked to perfection with Romesco sauce ( however it didn’t need the slaw). Can’t recommend this place highly enough would definitely go again when visiting Whitby and will try to squeeze a dessert in next time!
