We hadn’t been to Rubins for a little while, but we’re glad we went back. The food was always good but they have upped their level further and introduced monthly specials. All the food was well presented and piping hot and very good quality. The service was also much better than last time we came. We will be back and not leave it as long this time.

We had a lovely time for my birthday on the 5th of October. The food was nice. The owner was a gentleman and he even offered me a lil cake with a candle & played happy birthday song for me. The decor was lovely too. Overall it was a good experience and we will surely go back again.

Now that we have found Ruben's we will continue to return. We have been for lunch and dinner, both have a huge menu, the staff are friendly and very helpful and the food is delicious. When we were there with a group of friends we were not pressured to leave even though we had finished our food. We are looking forward to trying the range of teas next time.

Rubén’s is our new go to restaurant for great food and service. All the staff make you feel very welcome and are very attentive. The selection of food is comprehensive and will cater for all tastes. If you aren’t full and can squeeze in a dessert then I’d recommend the Baclava - served in the traditional Turkish way.

Service at a steady pace, ideal for our relaxed lunch. The food was well prepared and presented. The seabass main for my husband was very good. I had a cold starter of avocado salad and a hot starter of Sicilian meat balls in tomato sauce. I loved them together as a main. We took home baklava as a treat for the evening. We were not disappointed, the best we have ever found.

Overall the meal was good. My starter was a little disappointing, only four calamari rings! Also for that price I’d expect coated baby squid. But the rest of the party enjoyed their starters. Mains were very good.

I visit this restaurant often. I love their Moules Mariniere and I feel so very comfortable as a single female diner taking in the people watching, reading my book and shelling my seafood in a very organised and sophisticated way! I would love to see the Nicoise salad using fresh grilled tuna and hard boiled eggs. The Baba Ganoush is to be applauded by the way - the best outside of Turkey/Lebanon I have ever tasted. Love this place - a real find.

Really wide range of food available with vegetarian and gluten free options. Very attentive service. Only downside for me was a dog sitting on one of the seats albeit on the customer's coat. I am not a fan of the current trend for allowing dogs in restaurants but if permitted surely they should sit on the floor.

I have been coming to Rubins regularly since it opened and noticed of late you have cut down on the amount of crispy chicken you put in a Cesar salad. It used to be £10.95 now £11.95 yet there is less chicken. Also I think £7.95 for a glass of prosecco is rather expensive when majority of places in Harrogate charge £6-6.95. I also found the waiter with the pony tail rather intrusive continously asking if we were ok and do we want more drinks (a bit pushy) the waiter with short blonde hair is far more professional and could teach the others some good customer service. I hope my comments are taken notice of as others wise I am sad to say you will loose a valued customer. Thank you

Uncomfortably noisy, seated near a raucous girls party. Seats very low making eating uncomfortable. No wine list, should have been made clear when accepting the booking. Menu good, flavours good. Expensive.
