Very enjoyable afternoon spent here with friends. Warm welcome, great ambience, lovely pub. Be prepare for a bit of a wait at lunchtime because food is cooked fresh - worth waiting for, though.

The place is charming and is what you’d expect from a village country pub.
The staff were very helpful and the food was good.
The price was reasonable and the menu was adequate.
I would suggest perhaps a few more choices on the menu also the restaurant was quite dark and would benefit from having more light.
Overall though I would recommend a visit.

The waitress gave us the wrong wine, we asked for Merlot and was given Sharaiz, we are still waiting for water on the table. The bill was more than we expected, as the offer on the night was misleading. The steak was fantastic, the chef did a really great job. The waitress was off hand and rude. We were really looking forward to the meal and to support a local business that has had a tough time recently, but not sure would recommend it or go back.

Came for roast - we were later afternoon. Not many people in which obviously affects the atmosphere. But the pub area is lovely. Roast was great although as we were later they had run out if a few things.
Overall good experience though amd will go back.

The room was cold and we were sat at a table for 6 so the 7th person at to sit at the end next to the door where everyone was in and out. The food was on the cool side.
