The menu had changed to a short simple Indian offering since we booked. We were very happy with our meals which were delicious. It’s a very large pub and early in lunchtime on a cold November day it was chilly, but the fire was lit by our hospitable host and we defrosted!

We loved out Sunday roast - the food was amazing, the staff friendly and helpful - lovely place. We will come back another time. Great place to go for a usnday lunch if you have a dog as well!

It was a nice touch to receive a birthday card, thank you. Whilst the food was very good there was far too much on the plate; we would have preferred less of everything; for instance, my piece of roast pork was huge, there were three roast potatoes and five other vegetables and I didn’t even start the Yorkshire pudding! Maybe three veg and smaller portions - perhaps consider offering a ‘small plate’ option for others who may feel overfaced, no one likes wasting food. No chance of us eating a dessert! Apart from that we enjoyed it and the service was excellent and friendly.
