All was good, I just thought the steak pie gravy overpowered the meat itself. My partner and her sister also had the steak pie and both felt it was lovely. It's all subjective! Pizza also well received.

Brilliant and very fast service, and we were very happy with food and ambience.
Was slightly disappointed that we couldn’t modify our booking from 2 people to 3 for Sunday roast especially as the table next to us was left empty the entire time that we were there from 12.30pm to 1.30pm

Two couples, we ordered 10 tapas plates, which were excellent, particularly the chicken. The food was hot and served quickly, and Mark is a great host. The only disappointment was the garlic bread which was a slice of bloomer, rather than French stick or a flat bread, especially given that they also do pizzas.

We walked up to the bar and received a great genuine lovely welcome ( very rare nowadays).
A gentleman serving helped me choose a drink, another chap escorted us to our table. The waiting staff were courteous and knowledgeable about the foot. The food was served promptly and was delicious. A brilliant experience. Thank you all we will be back!!

I asked the waiter who had just delivered food to the next table for some more drinks, he advised me that all drinks have to be purchased at the bar, but I was half way through my meal and when I stood at the bar it took another 10 min before I got back to my table, our meal and drinks were already on a tab, fresh drinks could have been easily added.

Recent visit with my son/daughter and our 3 year old labrador. Made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Lady brought over some treats for our labrador. Very relaxing ambience. All the staff really friendly. I had pie and mash and it was really good. My daughter had the steak which was one of her favourite meals and she said it was really good and my son had some tapas which he enjoyed. Plan to return to try their Sunday Roast.

I booked for Mother’s Day and we arrived right at the end of service, we ordered our food within minutes of arriving with a little trepidation as the kitchen was about to close and with it being Sunday roast we expected to get the scraps….. we couldn’t be more wrong.
The starters (pulls pork pancakes) came out 2 minutes after ordering and they were perfect, plates were cleared by polite (but busy) staff, and the main soon arrived…. All I can say is wow!! The food was amazing, so fresh and tasty you would think it was the start of service not the end. We shall be visiting again in the very near future

The Commercial is a great pub which serves fabulous food. We had a Sunday roast which was perfectly cooked and served, though portions are on the large side, which will suit some but was a little intimidating for us. The ambience was very lively and service was first class. They are a lovely lot who work there, always willing to please and very efficient. A lovely outing. Lovely Roast dinner we just felt there could have done with being a little more beef and roast potatos (we only got one) for the price we paid but a very welcoming local pub I often visit for a drink.

Lunch was excellent! Fabulous quality and portion size was great! Service excellent too. Only slight feedback was the music it was quite loud where we were sitting and not our kind of music but I understand you can’t please everyone - just louder I think because of where our table was. Will be back though, excellent lunch
