The Commercial is an old fashioned pub with warm ambience. The decor is very tasteful and no detail has been missed. It has recently started to open on Monday and Tuesday for food which suits me great. Last Monday I booked online and met my friend for lunch. I must say it was hard to choose as all the food on the menu looked great, but we made our choice which was a 5 plate tapas between us. There was more than enough food and it was delicious. Considering the amount of we got and the quality, the price was very reasonable. The service was exceptional. Harrison and Ollie were delightful. The one tiny problem was dealt with without question.

Two couples, we ordered 10 tapas plates, which were excellent, particularly the chicken. The food was hot and served quickly, and Mark is a great host. The only disappointment was the garlic bread which was a slice of bloomer, rather than French stick or a flat bread, especially given that they also do pizzas.

We walked up to the bar and received a great genuine lovely welcome ( very rare nowadays). A gentleman serving helped me choose a drink, another chap escorted us to our table. I asked the waiter who had just delivered food to the next table for some more drinks, he advised me that all drinks have to be purchased at the bar, but I was half way through my meal and when I stood at the bar it took another 10 min before I got back to my table, our meal and drinks were already on a tab, fresh drinks could have been easily added.

From when entering we was made most welcome full marks to your staff. Then taken to our table where we had a most enjoyable Sunday lunch which was top class so thanks to your young staff for a enjoyable day.

Recent visit with my son/daughter and our 3 year old labrador. Made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Lady brought over some treats for our labrador. Very relaxing ambience. All the staff really friendly. I had pie and mash and it was really good. My daughter had the steak which was one of her favourite meals and she said it was really good and my son had some tapas which he enjoyed. Plan to return to try their Sunday Roast.
