We had another wonderful meal on Saturday evening, as ever the food was wonderful, the atmosphere was lovely and the team was welcoming and friendly. They even made such a fuss of our dog bringing him a bed, a water bowl and some treats!

We ate at the Punchbowl on a Tuesday evening in March and were pleased we’d booked a table. The place was really busy. Having now eaten there I can see why. The menu had some interesting dishes on it. I chose paella which was delicious. My husband had chilli con carne which he also enjoyed. We both finished with apple and cinnamon crumble which was excellent. It was all good reasonably priced home made food served by friendly staff in pleasant surroundings. Sounds simple but I’ll sure it isn’t.

Great service and delicious food in a lovely pub restaurant in the heart of Woodstock. We had Sunday lunch there and were really impressed. Great to have choices other than just Sunday roast too including scampi, pizzas, burgers amongst other things.
There is a small car park at the back - you just need to get a permit from the bar to stick in your car window. Free Union Street car park is literally just down the road.

Service and food were excellent for our party of four. Only strange thing, was our two guests only wanting water to drink with their meal, and so we were charged a fee of £1 each. Meanwhile, we had other drinks and free water. This didn't go over too well....

Improvement needs to be made on the website as it comes across that food is served al day but it only goes up to 2.45 at lunchtime and when I tried to call direct it kept going to answer phone to direct me to the website ( very frustrating when you want to talk to a human being)

Was visiting the area and Blenheim Palace. Seen the excellent reviews online and was certainly not disappointed. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Staff were very friendly. We were able to be seated early as our table was ready. Food was lovely, we went on a Sunday so had a roast. The atmosphere was great, the fire was on when we arrived and that mixed with the Christmas decor really put you in the festive spirit. We were having dinner before going to Christmas at Blenheim so it was perfect. Would recommend to friends and family.

We booked for lunch - six friends meeting up for the first time in ages.
The Punchbowl was perfect - we had a large oval table so we could all join in the conversation. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient.
The only slight issues were the parking - it’s a very tight squeeze but there is nothing they can do about it - but there is alternative parking in town. And the second slight issue - it would be so nice if customers shut the door behind them - we had to keep getting up to stop the cold draft. Management could try to improve the door closer efficiency.
Minor points that certainly did not mar or enjoyable lunch.
We all said we would gladly return.

The food was cooked well and tasted great. The service was friendly and helpful. we found the atmosphere really good and very happy with the cost. We had an enjoyable evening.

Perfect in everyday, we have eaten here many times over a 2 week period whilst our kitchen was out of use, every meal was 10/10 the staff friendly & helpful i have no hesitation to recommend.

From check in to departure the staff were brilliant. All helpful and very friendly the owners should be very pleased with their professional approach and behaviour cannot single out any one in particular as all were excellent in performing their duties.
The room was to a high standard and well equipped, room was much larger than you would get at many hotels. The food was excellent with generous portions and all freshly prepared.
When we are back in the area this will definitely be our hotel of choice

First visit to The Punchbowl, we were extremely pleased with the food, we had Sunday lunch, excellent choice& perfectly cooked, one of the best we have had! The staff were very friendly, happy and efficient. It was highly recommend to us and we were not disappointed.
