A visit midweek, easy to book a table for lunch. Great menu with plenty to choose from and at a good price. Food we ordered was very , very good and a good portion. Desert was just as good and part of a meal deal too. Drinks a reasonable price too. Lovely old pub, in the heart of Woodstock, very friendly staff and a nice place to eat. It’s been nearly 50 years since we last went to The Punch Bowl, we will certainly be back soon.

Staff were efficient and friendly. Lots of lovely vegetables on our Sunday lunch, which is rare in restaurants nowadays. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it. We have been for a drink before, and noticed that the food looked good. We will definitely be going back for more drinks and meals. The caramel Brown Betty dessert was amazing!

Pastry on venison pie very soggy but batter on the fish was crisp and delicious.
Could you perhaps offer smaller versions of some of the food for smaller appetites.
The service from ALL your staff was excellent, they were very friendly and enthusiastic about the business. One young lady said even though she isn’t part of the family, she feels part of it and was proud of helping to get the inn up and running after COVID. The staff are an asset to your business !

The only thing is that it's so dog friendly, would be wonderful if the back area was dog free.
To be fair it says everywhere it's dog friendly, so if you do have an issue with dogs it's your choice to eat there.

We found this place in a hurry while leaving Blenheim Palace. Booked online and arrived 10 minutes later. Everything about our visit was first class. Service, nothing was to much trouble. Been to eat here five or six times, each time the staff are always excellent, courteous, efficient and friendly. They were never intrusive but always alert to our requirements. Food was also mostly excellent, although one steak was a little ‘chewy’.
Christmas decorations gave a bit of extra cheer, although Santa was a little in the way of the staff!

We recently visited The Punchbowl with friends for our 3rd time & after having such a good experience previously, I am extremely pleased to say that they did not disappoint!! It is so refreshing to go to a pub where they have more than enough staff to facilitate, but also all of them were extremely friendly, professional & attentive, without being intrusive on the meal. The food was absolutely fantastic & such good portions for the cost - I particularly enjoyed my pistachio with tiramisu dessert which was extremely tasty & something I hadn't experienced anywhere else. The pub itself is very cosy & welcoming, especially on a rainy day as it turned out. 5 stars

It took a little time for us to be acknowledged on our arrival and again once we were seated at our table as we had to grab the attention of a member of staff to order some drinks.
Very friendly and attentive staff from them on.
The food was served in good time and was delicious.
We had a selection of starters and the Chicken, bacon and Avocado salad main, all of which were nicely presented and tasty.
Apart from the initial slight delay the service and food was excellent.

My wife and I visited on a Monday evening. There were enough other people to make a nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. We enjoyed trying to answer the questions on the trivial pursuits cards which were on each table.
Would certainly recommend.

The staff were extremely helpful and guaranteed a parking space for me given I’d fractured my ankle and was unable to walk far. The website was very easy to navigate and was responsive when I later changed my booking from 5 to 8 causing us little inconvenience. The service throughout our meal was excellent. The only comment able our roasts were the batter puddings were a little tough.

We have been to 4 different places in Woodstock for lunch and a meet up with friends, and this is definitely the best. Friendly, helpful, really do welcome dogs, and great food. Highly recommended.

Excellent stay at Punchbowl, eat by log fire, really cheerful staff, food well prepared with ample portions, really spacious, recently refurbished roof, almost a suite.
Well situated just off market square. Blenheim Palace walkable distance.
If you want to go to Oxford recommend using bus, stop 100m down road, and drops off in city centre, much easier, cheaper and quicker than driving.
If we are looking to stay this area again Punchbowl would be first option.

We took the family all 9 of us for a meal prior to visiting Blenheim for the lights. It was a great start to the evening, the food was very good and hot, everyone enjoyed their meal. They were kind enough to adapt a meal for one of the group on a slimming world diet to ensure she stayed on plan which was brilliant, thank you, it was really appreciated. totally recommend the restaurant, staff were all lovely as well.
