Frequently Asked Questions- Do I have to book online?
- Yes, if you would like a guaranteed table or Chocolate Tasting Flight. Walk-ins are welcome, but we may not have a table for you. If you only wish to visit the Chocolate Shop, Exhibition and Gift Shop, it is not necessary to book.
- Where should I park?
- Private car parking at rear with wheelchair-friendly spaces. The private car park cannot accommodate caravans and buses, but they are welcome to park on the main road in front of the shop or in Lageonan Road car park (next left, small fee, 2 minute walk).
- Do you have disabled access?
- There is easy wheelchair access from the car park into the building. A disabled toilet is located in the Chocolate Lounge on the same level as the car park. To reach the Chocolate and Gift Shops internally, there are 3 small steps for which a stair lift is provided and staff are trained to operate it. Ramps allow external access to the shops if a stair lift is not convenient. We would like to make your visit welcoming and stress-free, so please reach out and let us know what you need.
- Are you dog friendly?
- Certified Assistance dogs are permitted indoors – please show your ID or branded harness if you have one. If you cannot show a branded harness or ID, and the dog behaves as expected, please confirm the dog is a highly trained assistance dog. Other dogs can be permitted inside only when kept permanently in a container enclosed on all sides (such as a travel crate). All well behaved dogs are permitted outdoors on a leash and water dishes and outdoor tap are available.
- The time I would like to book isn't displayed?
- That means there are no available tables or Chocolate Tastings, but you may still visit the Chocolate Shop and Exhibition. Please try a different time or call us to help.
- How can I increase the number of people in my reservation?
- Your table may be limited to a specific number of chairs. Large groups may be split between two or more tables. You can always call us on 01887 840775, and we will try our best.
- How do I cancel my booking?
- Tables may be cancelled by 10am on day of arrival using the link in your confirmation email, via the Table Agent website, or phone us on 01887 840775. If you have pre-booked a Chocolate Tasting, it is only refundable if cancelled more than 24 hours before the reservation time.
- What happens if I'm going to be late?
- Arrivals more than 10 minutes late will be considered cancelled although we will try to offer an alternative if available. Please call us as soon as possible.

- Are you child-friendly?
- Yes, children are most welcome! Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times. Please let us know if you need a highchair, or are bringing a pram as we need to allocate extra space. We do not have a "children's menu" however, there is a 10% discount on children's hot chocolates.
- What is the largest group size you can seat together?
- Our largest table seats a maximum of 8 people. We always do our best to split larger groups between tables next to each other.

Please , please don’t change a thing. You have a lovely set up there it doesn’t need changed. We have been coming up from Fife twice a year to Aberfeldy for both our birthdays and that is our go to treat. All your staff are friendly and very attentive to customers needs and want. They are all knowledgeable about all the products. Nothing needs to change,maybe a bigger seating area for tables. We can’t wait for our next visit probably before Christmas.

We have been a few times previously and this time took friends who came up from Edinburgh. I had previously bought them a flight as a gift so they wanted to come and see the place for themselves. They were bowled over. The service was attentive yet relaxed. We all enjoyed the various hot chocolates we ordered and tasted each other’s! Chocolates were purchased afterwards (obviously!) and some Xmas shopping will be done online nearer the time.

It's definitely the best chocolate cake I've ever tasted, and the chocolates are amazing, unfortunately they are too expensive to treat yourself to try many flavours, so we only managed five. We were lucky to be sat in the cafe at the same time as Iain was, so we got to hear snippets of how he makes his chocolate so that was interesting.
We do make it a yearly visit, so encourage others to do so too, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing few hours at an equally amazing location. The flight was informative followed by delicious chocolates in beautiful and quirky restaurant. Took my partner here as a start to our day date. I had been previously, however he had not. He was over the moon! We both got the wee bundle which came with cake, tea or coffee, a hot chocolate and a praline or truffle of your choice. Exceptional value for money and tasted wonderful. Service was great, however I think the person who served us must have been new as things got a bit muddled and we had almost finished our tea/coffee before our cake and truffle had arrived, didn't seem as joined up as it should have been. Apart from that I'd highly recommend a trip out, well worth it. We will certainly be returning. Thank you!

We spent a week in Kenmore and drove past Iain Burnett's Highland Chocolatier several times en route to various places and decided we must visit. We weren't disappointed as the cafe and shop were excellent, primarily because of the produce, supported by the friendly staff. The whole approach to his business is evident in the totally professional approach to everything from the website through to his shop, restaurant and parking.
I will always look to get there when within driving distance and I'm looking forward to letting our family try some of the chocolates that we brought back to get their opinion. In my opinion he offers an experience on a par with a Ladurée visit in Paris.

Couldn’t have been a better experience. We had the dog so we’d booked a table outside so my husband could be with dog while I went and did the experience. I appreciate this may have been a little outside the norm but when I went in our server understood exactly and made us extremely comfortable and kept my husband well topped up with coffee! The experience felt extremely luxury. The audio guide was excellent and it had a personal and conversational feel to it and I liked that you did it on your own so you could take it at your own speed. Even the little things - when I was done I went back outside, fully expecting to catch someone’s eye to let them know I was ready for the tasting experience…but it was already there freshly laid out! This was a bank holiday too so it’s not like they were super quiet or anything, this was just such an high standard of service. Absolutely excellent I can’t speak higher of the experience!

As local residents, Iain Burnett's Chocolate House is one of our favourite places around Aberfeldy.
Apart from the hot chocolate, brownies and chocolate cake which are unsurpassed, we feel completely at home in the quirkily decorated, very comfortable and relaxing lounge. The staff so well match the surroundings with their warm welcome, courtesy and elegance, that we often wonder where you find such charming young ladies and gentlemen! Wonderful place for a birthday treat. Our daughters first visit at the age of 28 and she was not disappointed. Staff gave us a very warm welcome and took time to answer our questions. Hot chocolate was fabulous. Our marbled cinnamon cake tastes better every time. Our daughter had a full chocolate experience and loved it. Thank you to all the staff.

Always have a wonderful time when we visit. As it’s about a three hour drive we only visit once a year, but the drive is so worth it. Love the liquid chocolate shots. Would be even better if you served soup as well. I feel a bit guilty just having chocolates for lunch

Not only was everything we encountered contributory to a fabulous experience from ambience, your fabulous team, the tastes of every mouthful, the information and shop but the 1 thing which could have let you down was handled so superbly that it detracted not a jot.
For improvement: we had a confirmed booked for 1 flight, fortunately printed off to show, however we were not on your system which could've been a massive disappointment as we'd traveled from an hour north of Inverness for a birthday surprise treat & outing.
What we loved was being met by your two tall reception chaps who said 'not a problem, come with us' & seamlessly moved Steve off on his tour and me into the lounge with a menu. Both of them & the ladies in the shop were passionate, informative when we asked or commented on something, warm and engaging, seeing us clearly without being over the top in any way, the balance was just right. Showing the kitchen at work, seeing the chocolate sculptures, Steve as an engineer enjoying learning the detail of the process which he would never have imagined, the quality and quwirky decor so relaxing and easy to sink into and enjoy. And then the tastes, textures, visual delight in all that we consumed & saw on display - oh my, such elixirs, ecstasy, manna...any other chocolate now is going to pale into comparison with you as our yardstick. We intend calling in to buy Christmas presents as we head south pre xmas to family. Very many heartfelt thanks for an experience that was beyond our expectations.

Loved our visit here, the shop and coffee lounge were equally lovely as were the staff. We ordered a salted caramel mocha, classic hot chocolate, fudge cake and lemon drizzle cake which was the biggest piece of cake I’ve ever received! Everything was delicious and I’d highly recommend.

Last visited 4 years ago & loved it then. This year, so good on the Wednesday that we we went back on the Friday!
Chocolate cake has to be the best we've ever eaten.
Mark & Craig were very welcoming & helpful.
