Dining at the Angus is an informal affair. The Angus Hotel is a great place in Blairgowrie to eat out. The Hotel has The Bay Tree Bar and Restaurant to the front of the hotel. The Bay Tree offers a traditional dining experience.

There is a new large modern and airy buffet style area with an outdoor terrace to the rear. The Jutemills Restaurant serves buffet breakfast every day, lunch and dinners for large groups and entertainment events.

The style of food at the Angus is modern yet true to the Hotels highland heritage. The type of dishes on the menu range from Scottish landed haddock and home cooked chips to braised scotch lamb shank with mash. Dining is all day, and from 10-5pm lounge service offers coffee and cake along with a full Scottish Afternoon Tea.

The hotel is open all year round and welcomes local diners and groups with reservations. During the months of October to June most weekends host entertainment nights, and details can be found online.

The value for money was really good , hotel was very clean could maybe do with modernising certain areas , staff were all lovely and the spa was excellent. breakfast was really good too lots of choice , only disappointing thing I’d say was the bed unfortunately was very uncomfortable the mattress was not good at all.

It's my two friends and my 4th stay at this lovely hotel where we have a fabulous time. Lovely and friendly staff and the Afternoon Tea is just perfect. We booked a dinner, prosecco, bed and breakfast package via Wowcher and were really delighted with the whole experience. The hotel and spa have been extensively refurbished to a high standard - our room was at the front in the older part of thd hotel, but the decor, furnishings and bathroom fixtures were all brand new, sleek and tasteful. Chocolate dipped strawberries in the room for our arrival were an unexpected extra! The nespresso machine was a bonus too. All staff were friendly and helpful, and our evening meal was delicious. I have coeliac disease, so need to eat gluten free food, but this was not a problem at all. Many items on the menu were available in GF form. Would definitely stay here again!

We were having a great dinner got first two courses quite quick but had to ask for our sweets three times it took 2hrs and 10 minutes in total to finish the meal but they rectified it with some wine to our table very quickly food was amazing and it was a shames as it seemed to ruin the meal experience but I would definitely come back but to a nearer room to the lift and if they would have to warm up the pool x

Brilliant stay! The room was clean, well appointed and inviting. The welcome hamper was very much appreciated and got our stay off to a fine start. My sister and I used the spa facilities and had a treatment each. The meals were excellent as was the service. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room 110 was a bit noisy as it faced the road. As this was a Wowcher deal there may only be a limited no. of rooms available for this deal.When I come back again, which I’m sure I will, I would ask for a different room away from the road. A box of tissues would also be a welcome addition to the room. I also prefer the personal touch checking in with the receptionist rather than using the machine All in all a very enjoyable stay. Really enjoyed our meals of chicken and fish and chips. Starters of salmon and garlic bread with cheese was also delicious. Mayonnaise in coalslaw was a bit too creamy. Afternoon tea was really lovely and breakfast was good too. All meals and drinks very good value.

The food was really good and the food standard and presentation is excellent with the exception that there is not a cheeseboard on the menu. Yet although the waiter did provide me with cheese and biscuits on request it arrived on a side plate and consisted of 2 pieces of different cheeses and three biscuits only. I was charged a full sweet price of just under £7 for this…which I was later refunded after a word with reception upon leaving and settling our bill. However your waiters and chefs are above average. Cheerful, friendly and efficient. We would come back to dine and we would come back to stay.

We were made very welcome from the moment we checked in till the moment we checked out. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was perfect and the added welcome pack was the icing on the cake! Our dinner was delicious and we were attended to by friendly, professional staff members. The spa facilities were absolutely perfect, clean and well looked after. We will certainly be paying the hotel another visit.

Overall a lovely experience. Staff so friendly and helpful and everywhere so clean. Hotel in excellent location. Only downside is that we would have been better served with a shower room instead of bathroom but that is a minor/personal view and does not detract from the overall experience. 10 out of 10. Room was beautiful, had just been refurbished , very comfortable bed. Food was excellent, staff very pleasant and attentive. Spa was great, although the jacuzzi was a little difficult to get into , but that may just have been due to my lack of fitness!! Overall a lovely break at this hotel.

Full Marks. Had a lovely late lunchtime meal. Steak pie was excellent, huge portion. , Scampi very good & Korean Chicken very tasty.. Convenient parking front of hotel. Service friendly & prompt. Great meal, excellent value. Will be back! One thing we would have preferred is an itemised bill.

Hotel is undergoing refurbishment but this did not impact on our stay. We never heard any noise. The pool and dpa are amazing and an asset to the hotel. Breakfast was good but food could have been warmer but plenty of choice. Dinner was great and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely break in a coxswain hotel! Food great, staff friendly & welcoming g. Tribute band Feeva are fab! Will be back. Pool a bit cold and steam room and shower out of order which was a disappointment. No diet lemonade! Other than that it was great.
