Located in the heart of the medieval village of Scotlandwell, near Kinross, The Well Country Inn has been welcoming visitors for over 300 years. Our newly refurbished main restaurant opened September 2024.
Friday, Saturday 12pm to 2pm, lunches are served.
Thursday to Saturday 5pm to 7:30pm and Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, come and try our traditional 'pub grub' with regularly updated specials.

Children are welcome in the restaurant, and dogs in the bar

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should I park?: Private car parking at rear.
Do you have disabled access?: There is wheelchair access from the car park into the building and a disabled toilet on the same level as the main restaurant.
What happens if I'm going to be late?: Arrivals more than 15 minutes late will be considered cancelled although we will try to offer an alternative if available. Please call us as soon as possible.
Are you child-friendly?: Yes, children are welcome in the restaurant until 8pm. Please let us know if you need a highchair. We do not have a "children's menu" however, small plates are available. Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times. Children under 12yrs are not permitted in the lounge or bar areas at any time.
Are you dog friendly?: Only certified assistance dogs are permitted in the dining room. We have a limited number of tables availabe in the lounge bar where well behaved and sociable dogs are welcome, please call to request a dog friendly table. We respectfully ask that dogs are kept on a lead and off the furniture. Water dishes and treats are available.
How do I cancel my table booking?: Tables may be cancelled up to the day before arrival using the link in your confirmation email or phone us on 01592 840444.

SLOW BRAISED STEAK & ALE PIE 14.50: topped with a puff pastry lid, served with mash or chips and today’s vegetables.
PAN SEARED RUMP STEAK 18.95: cooked to your liking, served with skin on, hand cut chips, sauteed mushrooms, shallots and your choice of roast garlic butter or pepper sauce.
FISH & CHIPS 13.95: beer battered or breaded coley fillet with crushed mint peas, house tartare sauce, hand cut skin on fries and grilled lemon.

We had a family (6) lunch yesterday, the service was very nice and welcoming. Food was fresh and tasty , only one comment was the reduced menu, unfortunately due to kitchen staff. Will return and highly recommend good pub grub.

Best mac cheese ever, but portions are too big. Perhaps you would consider half portions. It is such a pity to leave food. Much appreciated the log fire. Lovely staff from a very well presented waitress. I have recommended a visit to friends.
