Wait staff was wonderful — attentive & charming. Food was innovative & delicious — soufflé & paella truly extraordinary. The chef’s talents are obvious & he took the trouble to introduce himself to us & requested feedback about the meal — a kindly man. It was a lovely, wholly satisfying brunch.

Our experience at Chez Hansi exceeded every expectation. Our server was well informed, attentive and extremely pleasant. As a group, some items were served family style so all of us tasted everything and every dish was superb. Our group has been dining together for 15 years at restaurants all around Philadelphia and everyone in our group rated our experience at Chez Hansi the best ever!

Chez Hansi is a gem. This was the third time we've dined here, and all the meals were delicious. I particularly liked the tagine (get it with lamb if available!). The beef roulade with spaetzle and red cabbage was also very good. It's a small place, but the service is friendly and efficient.

Chef and his wife were so sweet and accommodating! They gave my fiance and I two appetizers a piece, even though in the restaurant week menu we only typically get one a piece. They also gave us a glass of champagne! Food was delicious. Inventive cuisine. Can't wait to go back!

We were thrilled to enjoy the offering of either German and Moroccan cuisines...reflecting the owners' backgrounds: yes, a weird combo of cultures, but it works...and it was interesting and delicious. Lively and bustling upstairs, quiet and homey downstairs. Always appreciate the savings of a BYOB. I can't speak German or Arabic, but I can say Thank You for a lovely evening!

The husband and wife team running this tiny place are absolutely charming and the inventive menu offers both Moroccan and European cuisine that is tasty and smartly prepared; diners get an excellent value. Great for seniors, too -- NO BLARING LOUD MUSIC, so one can easily converse. Many tables are in the basement; the stairs to the basement room and WC are steep, which could be a negative for some.
