Chef Franca DiRenzo creates everything from scratch in the back of her kitchen where she is constantly busy. Patrons can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with a wide variety of menu items, from pasta dishes to more American ideals with Italian flavors added. The staff are very personable and try to treat you as if you were a guest in their own home.
My husband and I tried Tre Scalini for the first time and absolutely loved it. The food was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. It is a family owned business they certainly made us feel like family. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely go back. We are always looking for a go-to BYO in South Philly and we found it. We may never go anywhere else!
We have eaten at Tre Scalini twice and the food and service was excellent on both occasions. The menu is extensive, the quality of the food is outstanding, the wait staff is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Tre Scalini if you want fine, authentic Italian food. Week nights are much quieter, but oputting up with noise well worth it for the quality for the food!

Nestled in South Philadlephia on Passayunk Avenue this restaurant was a delight! The food was fabulous and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Loving the fact that it is a BYOB. The prices were reasonable and my friends and I had a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back!

My friends and I went to Tre Scalini on Tuesday night, party in full swing. Manager still found time to make us feel special. The Chef totally outdid herself. I've never had Black Pasta before, but one friend advised to try it, if you like squid. I'm not a fan---but, the pasta came out hot, seasoned perfect, shrimp and lump crab meat was delicious. I even had half to take home and ate for lunch! Perfect restaurant for parties and intimate enough for two! Great, Great, Great! I wish I knew more Italian for perfect! Please try this restaurant and soon! Priced perfect!
