Located in Southeast Portland, Portobello Vegan Trattoria features dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of France, Italy, and Spain. Owners Dinae Horne and Chef Aaron Adams emphasize local, organic, and vegan foods and wines as part of a menu that changes seasonally. It includes almost exclusively handmade items, down to the stuffed pastas and cultured cashew cheese. In addition to exclusively vegan fare, Portobello provides soy - and gluten-free options, as well as several completely raw entrées and desserts. With wood paneling and soft green walls, the well-lit dining room is complete with tables and chairs created by a local company from recycled Oregon wood, in keeping with their commitment to local and sustainable resources. Although you won’t find any meat on their menu, Portobello provides dishes that easily satisfy any palate.
