Situated on an easily accessible corner a couple blocks from the Intercontinental Hotel near the heart of the Old Jewish Quarter, Les Moules offers a house speciality of .... MUSSELS ... along with a great variety of other seafoods and traditional dishes. Mussels are served in several favorite preparations, including the classic white wine and garlic with lots of parsley, with crunchy toasted baguette, this is a perfect casual yet elegant meal. Add a charming companion to observe and comment on the passing scene, a couple glasses of crisp rose or riesling from a nearby winery, and you will have a perfect summer evening on the sidewalk patio. Or, choose to be seated a little more quietly in the air conditioned dining room. Desserts left a little something to be desired, the creme brulee was very dense. Service was a little reserved at first but warmed up quickly and was attentive and timely. The corner location amidst the splendid old buildings practically draws you onward for an after-dinner walk. Classic flavors, very fresh food, and good service make this a great choice for lunch or dinner.
