Excellent! Be sure to order pasta as an app or main course (we shared a main pasta split 3 ways as an app, best part of meal, in an outstanding meal). Party of 3, ordered lamb, seafood special (swordfish that evening) and a different pasta. All were very happy, but one who had been there previously recommended their scallops as the best of the several great things they tried there. Our server Sara was attentive, friendly and helpful. We had a late reservation, but we NEVER felt rushed to finish and leave. The entire experience is one we hope to repeat during our next visit to Mystic. This is our new favorite restaurant ! Also, this was a birthday celebration which we noted on the reservation, and they acknowledged as we arrived at the restaurant and throughout the meal. Such a gracious and lovely gesture which set the tone for entire evening.

I have eaten here twice and will definitely be returning. The first time I ordered Bucatini, since I am a fan of artichokes. The portion was both generous and deliciously prepared. The Capesante was quite extraordinary. They lightly sautéed fresh Stonington sea scallops and served them with a squash and zucchini caponata, almonds and vinaigrette. Flavors were mouthwatering. I'll order it again. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly and service is prompt without making you feel rushed in any way. I'm hoping they will start serving lunch!

The music was a bit too loud. Hard to talk across the table. There was a mix up and we didnt get our dessert. Waiter did pack it to go on the house. The tiramisu was not very good. It seemed like they forgot to soak the lady fingers as they were hard and crunchy with little coffee flavor.

Hostess took us to the upstairs dining room and attempted to seat us right next to the only occupied table. We asked for a different table and received some attitude when she moved us. The adult beverage menu had no beer list. When I asked the server she said there were no craft IPA beers. I said I would just have water. She returned a minute later saying there was a Connecticut microbrew. Food was good but nothing exceptional.

Ambiance was good but the food was subpar. Bread was very hard and not enjoyable. My meatball appetizer was brought to the table cold. My friends entree was brought out cold. Cannolis for dessert were the worst I've ever had, just not good. I and high hopes for a new Italian restaurant in Mystic and was severely disappointed. Will never eat here again and lay out $140 for dinner for two.

An excellent experience. Outstanding home made pasta dishes, one of which was a vegan special which we were able to order with gluten free rigatoni which was just as good as the short ribs ragu featuring homemade flour based pappardelle. Service was very friendly and helpful. Maitre d' changed our reservation twice with a smile. Sitting in bar area was a bit chilly with door openings and closings. Take home cannoli (actually 5 small cannoli) tries too hard to be different. More nut coating than needed, advertised chocolate chips and lemon lacking and not made with traditional cannoli cream.

Our table was not ready and we did wait a bit too long. The owner & hostess were very gracious about the amount of time and offered a drink while we waited. The fresh ricotta was amazing. Speciality drink was delicious. Dinner special was veal piccata and it was very good. I had spaghetti & clams and felt the pasta was mundane, not a fresh pasta taste. Seasoning on both was excellent. Service was great! A fantastic new place for Italian food in Mystic!

Although we weren't able to be seated until closer to 8:15, the host and bartender were quick to accommodate and make sure we had drinks and were comfortable while we waited. Our food was cold apparently because a diner on the first floor had to be taken out by ambulance. We were on the second floor and food is prepared on the first floor. The music was so loud we had trouble conversing.

The food was excellent, and we will definitely come again. We thought not offering us tap water was a mistake (and would not pay $6 for water again). When a party of 6? came and sat behind us, it was pretty loud. I think we would prefer to sit next to a wall next time. The bill with tip was ~ 162, which is about $20 more than we have paid at a restaurant like River Tavern in Chester for a similar meal (and we had dessert there).

Everything was excellent. I do not eat gluten and was able to find delicious gluten free options. It would be nice to have an indication on the menu for items that are gluten free or can be gluten free with small alterations. Many restaurants now do this and it’s very helpful.

Some very nice unusual offerings of fine Italian food! Wouldn't mind an extra IPA or 2 to choose from but Perroni on draft suited the occasion just fine. Try the sliced scallop appetizer with the fennel salad....out of this world!

Wonderful dinner experience! Food was delicious and well prepared. Waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable; only time was that she was a waitress and Bartender all at once so a few minor errors which were corrected immediately. Recommend this fine restaurant.

Allison was a great server. Started with Polpetine beef and prosciutto meatballs with tomato sugo & baked ricotta and a Cesare Salad. Entrees Tagliolini with ragu bolognese & parmigiano reggiano and Pappardelle short rib ragu with rosemary and pecorino. For dessert Tiramisu, which was one of if not the best I ever had. The entire meal was Fantastic! A couple of Tito's and Peroni's made for a perfect night. This was our first time at Via Emilia's and we will be back. Thank you.

Loved the food and our server was great. I think the decor and ambiance are not up to the quality of the food. Needs a refresher to make it more contemporary. Great find and we’ll definitely be back and recommend to our friends
