This place was so lovely! We stopped by after being exhausted by the resort food. We came to DR to eat great local food, and it was honestly really hard to come by in PUJ. This restaurant is located in a cute plaza with souvenirs nearby, and an overall adorable, little setting. Everyone was really helpful and forthcoming.
Originally we came to eat fried, red snapper, but we were encouraged to try some of the appetizers as well. We had the shrimp, octopus, and caesar salad to start. Honestly, I didn't try the shrimp, the salad was unremarkable, and octopus was a tad overcooked. The octopus was yummy though, nonetheless.
For mains, I grabbed the fried red snapper--seasoned well, a bit overcooked.
We also had garlic lobster as well as grilled snapper. I could've lived without the lobster, but we were highly encouraged to try--it was just a bit overcooked. The grilled snapper was perfect.
For sides, I had the tostones--really yummy!
And their creme brulee was also delectable--just a huge portion, it would've paired well with some berries or fruit.
Drinks-wise there are wine options, but I opted for juice and would recommend the chinola any time. The staff are also really attentive, our glasses were always full.
Ambiance-wise the place was genuinely pretty. The lights, the palms, the weather-- it was pleasant. Definitely would recommend popping out of the filtered reality of a resort for a little trip in the city to Herman 311.

Was with a group of 13 was greeted by the owner. Once we got off the cab, he walked us into the restaurant and seated us. It was a small place, but very clean and beautiful decor. One side of the restaurant even had a winery Staff was very friendly Service was great. Food was delicious. Everyone in my party, enjoy themselves and ate all their food I personally would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice fancy night out or even during the day must dishes were seafood overall thumbs up!

I am so glad that I reserved a table at Herman 311 for my birthday. The staff made my girlfriend and I feel like celebrities when we arrived and that continued throughout the evening. The food was amazing and my ginger mojito was out of this world! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, the staff brought out a whole cake with a giant sparkler and sang happy birthday. Then the DJ started playing many of my favorite songs, (old and new). We ended up dancing along with everyone else, while sharing a bottle of super tasty wine from Kaboclo next door. I can't thank the owner his staff enough for giving me a birthday experience I will never forget!!!

Staff were nice and willing to help. Offered free pickup and drop up from the hotel as well which was very kind. One of the ingredients our order was substituted but we weren’t informed. Food was nice with good Afrobeats music.

I craved lobster and had made a reservation to ensure I would have some. There's a 2lb minimum at a per lb price so watch for that. A neighbour had lobster too and was persuaded he needed 6lbs way too much he said. The conch appetizer was tasty but could have been shared. I was served a good white wine.

We were very excited with our dinner at Herman 311. The food was tasty and the service was exceptional. Unfortunately, our server mispronounced the fee for the lobster as 20 dollars per pound instead of 28 dollars per pound. Menu did not have US conversion on it and we did not look at the menu because the server verbalize menu options. This mistake was noticed at the end of meal therefore ruined the evening as we were
SURPRISED and NOT happy for the extra $180.00 to our bill ($381.00 for two people sharinga meal). We would have asked for a smaller lobster. If this misunderstanding had not happened, it would have been awesome!
