In December of 2010 owners, Danny & Tiffany Ingram had just $100 to their names & high hopes for creating a delicious vibrant American restaurant in Mechanicsville. Day after day - & dollar after dollar the two were able to grow Bell Cafe into a 100% from scratch restaurant that has become a household name in the Hanover community. Bell Cafe has quickly become our favorite brunch spot. The food is always delicious, the service is kind and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. The menu has quite a bit of variety and the mimosas are perfect! I would recommend Bell Cafe as a fun spot but not a huge location. I love that it is small and cozy.

The reservation process was a bit discombobulated. Did not go through properly to begin w/, then received a call to clarify ( which I appreciated) , but still a glitch somewhere in process. We ended up being able to get a table at requested time and number of people, but that was more by accident as the girl seating us was not expecting us. Everything delicious, good service. I felt prices may have been a bit steep.

Bell Cafe was fantastic. The staff was amazing and the food was incredible. The mimosa flights were so vibrant and flavorful. Will definitely be returning soon. Thank goodness we made a reservation but it would have been worth the wait if we hadn't.

Definitely a 5-star experience! Server was friendly and helpful to our questions. The food was absolutely delicious; the crab cake had little filler, so it was moist and "crab-tasty", as it should be! The side of crispy brussels sprouts were awesome; I'll never want fries again!! I am already telling others about Bell Cafe, and I will be returning myself to try their other delectable-sounding menu choices.

When I arrived they did not have my reservation. The staff looked very confused, but then we were escorted next door to their overflow space. It took several requests to have them turn the music down, but in the end we have a lovely brunch.

Holes in the ceiling over where I sat. I didn't have a fancy chandelier. Got there at 2p and waffle were sold out. Server said they only offer two knows of flights, so we ordered them. To our surprise after receiving our flights, we saw 2 different flights go out. So that was a bummer. Lots of folks got turned away because no reservations were made but seat were available. I think that's enough. I have a reservation on June 27 ...stay tune

I got the veggie omelet with crispy brussel sprouts as my side. It was the best omelet I have ever had! The brussel sprouts were also excellent. I had never been disappointed any time I've gone there. Love supporting local businesses, especially restaurants, during this trying time. Thanks!

I ordered the Cobb Salad. The chicken was hard...was opposed to be crispy. Some pieces I couldn’t even cut with a knife. Way more greens than necessary and fewer of the other salad items. Not much you can do for folks sitting outside who have to listen to loud trucks and cars going by, but inside is probably fine. Overall, not a great experience.
