Food was excellent. The crab cakes were superb. Overall a little too much food (and that was without an appetizer or dessert). Service was very good. We would appreciate fewer visits to the table inquiring about how it is going. If there is a problem, we will notify the server. Truddi did a fine job on her first night in The Restaurant.
The voices of other patrons seem loud in the space. I recognize there might be some hearing deficiencies that account for increased volume but I was able to hear everything discussed at Sally Emory's table against the wall and some of the conversations at the Gosse and Harralson tables. That seems intrusive, both ways. Is there a way to provide softer wall hangings or heavier drapes that might absorb some of the noise?

The Angus filet is FAR superior to the previous ones -- all 3 of us who had it agreed that it's a keeper! And it was cooked Just Right ("the rare side of medium-rare").

always excellent....I did ask server to fill the wine glass a little more. Several residents had complained to me that the restaurant was a little skimpy with the wine. Will be glad when restaurant will be open on Saturday.

J ordered the Filet Oscar which was very tasty but it included potatoes of which there were too many. It appears to me that as I age I need less food not more. Don't know how to address this problem but most of my potatoes went in the trash.
