The MAG has a number of lots surrounding the building. There is also street parking on University, Goodman and Prince streets.
Yes! There is an elevator to the right of the Cutler stairs, with additional instructions inside the elevator to bring you to our restaurant. We ask that you check in with the host so that we can assist with getting you to your table.
No, you do not! The restaurant is open to the general public. Gallery admission is additional and optional, however HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! World class collection that spans the ages...
We have a dog-friendly dining area outside in our Garden dining area. We recommend you call the restaurant to let us know of your intent to sit outside and we can further instruct you. Order by phone or online and we will bring your meal out to you!
We do not require reservations, but they are highly recommended, especially for our very popular weekend brunches.
We cater many events, small or large, your place or ours. The restaurant is available for private events outside of our regular operating hours. It took nearly an hour for the food we ordered to arrive at our table. During this time our server apologized but she was unable to speed things up. Other parties who sat down and ordered after us ate before us. I watched our server inform the manager of her frustration with how long our food was taking. The manager did not apologize to us. I understand that businesses are struggling with staff shortages but that shouldn't lead to a common sense shortage. If things aren't going well in the kitchen, keep your customer informed, apologize, perhaps even offer a complimentary adult beverage. Unfortunately, given this experience, we'll go elsewhere next time we are out for Sunday brunch.

Great experience overall with a friendly, courteous staff. Although the menu has a varied selection, it could be improved for those that have dietary restrictions (as many do today due to health and moral reasons!) I enjoyed the Zen Budha Bowl and am thankful you offer tofu as a protein option! In terms of ambience, the lighting is too bright reminding us of a surgical hospital room. In the past, it was more cozy with round table and more natural light combined with dim overhead lighting--this is preferred. Hope this feedback is helpful! Great job overall though-thank you!!

There was not a lot of menu options for brunch. Everything had eggs, no fruit or granola. Food presentation. Was plain. No butter for toast, no ketchup for home fries. My plate had 4 pieces dried toast, dry home fries. And pork belly. No sauces or garnish. And I saw one item with V for vegan. Non for Gluten Free.

The wait for a drink was over 20 minutes while I saw other guests getting their drinks quickly. Luckily our server Stephen told us that if we were to order the chicken and waffles it would take a long time to make. There was also a notice that they were short staffed and so I was forgiving about the wait. So instead of the chicken and waffles that I was looking forward to after waiting so long for one drink my husband and I both had the burger and fries and they were delicious! We would come again and already recommended you to our family. Once you get back to full staff I’m sure the wait times will be much shorter (hopefully!)

I love having lunch and brunch at Brown Hound. I'm a regular and can always depend upon great service and fresh, locally sourced food prepared just right. The surrounds are beautiful. The restaurant is inside the Memorial Art Gallery. This is a great place for a business lunch, a family brunch, a stunning and romantic location for a couple. Highly recommended!

Our server, Allen, was great and while the menu is quite limited, the food was decent. I had the burger, which had good flavor and my husband was pleased with the lasagna. We were expecting a more charming, creative environment given the location.

Nice brunch in a nice setting. Table was small for 4 adults and server never came o clear used dishes during the meal. Very close tot he end another server noticed and cleared some plates. Food was very good though buffet was not replenished timely so a few items were not available while we were there that we would have liked to try. Would recommend and try again and also try during non holiday time.

Experience was delightful- ambiance, service and food. The salad was incredibly fresh, dressing delicious, had the half tuna sandwich which was more than plentiful. Had I known how filling, I would not have ordered the soup as I was ready to be rolled out-bountiful. Very attentive and even entertaining service ( got into myths & mythology). Definitely a "return experience" in the future.

Our service was impeccable, and the coffee was delicious. My husband has the rice bowl. He felt it was a small portion for the price and rather bland. Our friend had the strawberry french toast casserole. She expected white bread french toast with strawberries layered in the middle, not brown bread that was a little soggy in the middle. She said it tasted good but was more a dessert than a breakfast. I liked my nan flatbread but don't recall there being any mushrooms on it. I wouldn't let these things stop me from returning. Thank you.

Our server was very accommodating. When we had called ahead to confirm our party of 12 I asked about splitting the check and the host said, “no problem just let your server know when you are seated.” I did just that-but was informed by my server that she couldn’t split more than 6 ways…which was not the response I expected after talking with the host the day before. Please make sure all staff have the same information to avoid this in the future. However our waitress went above and beyond to correct the misinformation and created a number system for our table. She kept perfect track of all items and made our experience delightful. She saved the day!

We were there for Mother's Day and when making the reservation, there was no mention of the service being a buffet for that day, instead of the regular menu. We were not bothered by this, but this was not indicated in any way when making the reservation. We were charged $50 per person and the buffet did not deliver on this price point. Every time we went up to the buffet several food items were empty and it took a very long time for items to be refilled. The overall food selection was pretty basic, there wasn't anything special offered. Even the way the buffet was set up caused back ups and confusion by all guests. Guests could enter the room from 2 different doors, which caused some guests to start the buffet from one end and others to start from the other end, making the meet in the middle a bit of a clash. Buffets should be set up to be double sided in order to allow for the flow of people to increase and there is less confusion. Also, especially on a busy day like mother's day, take the lids off of the dishes. Every single person has to put their plate down, take the lid off the food to see if they want that item, and then put the lid back on after. Slows things down immensely. Our server was fine, he brought us drinks as we needed them and cleared our table promptly. Only disappointment there was when we were seated and he was across the room asking us if we wanted anything to drink and we were asking back across the room what they had to offer. He could have and should have walked over to our table, greeted us and offered us the drink menu. I understand staff shortages due to the pandemic and an especially busy Sunday such as Mother's day all come into play. This is just my honest opinion of the offerings compared to the amount we paid for it. Not likely to return.

Thx for the survey. Knowledgeable, pleasant server. Nice menu selection - and I was able to substitute out the goat cheese in the bistro salad with no problem. Band was a bit loud. But the biggest improvement suggestion would be to get a new hostess. She clearly did not want to be there.

The food, service and atmosphere were great. Finding the way to the restaurant was very difficult! The signs in the parking lot are insufficient and vague. Searching for the restaurant entrance made two people In my party late for the reservation. Many customers in the restaurant commented on their difficulty finding it. One person in my party said she almost gave up. I wouldn’t be surprised that many people do just that—give up.

I ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs were not poached ,I received hame instead or bacon, the “hollandaise “sauce was broken and the consistency of water. The potatoes were too salty to eat. My companion had the chicken and waffles and was satisfied with the food. The dessert was bread pudding. It was served out of a muffin tin, heated in the microwave. Overpriced and not very good. I hope I have better luck the next time.

There were several events at the MAG which made parking a nightmare- we were a little late but everyone from the parking attendant to the hostess was very helpful and accommodating. The waitress was a delight- so attentive and sweet but we waited close to an hour for our food. Then when we got it..... the potatoes were raw- we did not want to send them back because of the time it might take. The rest of the food was good. The waitress comped us 10% when we told her.

Very disappointed that blueberry pancakes were no longer available - they were so delicious and perfectly cooked! Instead I ordered the French toast casserole, which was too thick and bready, and way too sweet and sugary. If there was any Grand Marnier in it I could not taste it, the cinnamon flavor was overpowering. My cappuccino was tasty, but lukewarm. I don't like to give negative reviews since our prior experience was excellent, but I hope the chef brings back the pancakes and makes French toast that is thin, light and fluffy and not excessively sweet. The jazz band was great and the server very attentive.

I felt the prices were really high for the quality of the food. I had the salad with chicken. It was a very simple salad with not a lot of chicken in it. It was definitely not a $24 salad. The server was also not very knowledgeable about the menu and food allergies.

Seated right away, however in the far back corner (the place was not full). )ur server told us she forgot about us because she could see us and rarely came to check in on us. We ended up going to the bar to get condiments and supplies, while she was there she asked if we were her table. Overall very disappointing brunch until we went to the patio bar and the server was superb

Our server Maude was excellent, friendly and patient. Loved the atmosphere but unfortunately the food was subpar. I ordered pancakes which were way too sweet even without the maple syrup and sweet butter. Will try again.

The location on a mezzanine above the museum’s fountain court is special, and the opportunity to dine as part of attending the museum is convenient and pleasant. Having two spaces, one sort of balcony-style and one beyond it that is quieter, is excellent, and the waitstaff are really good. The place is clean, with a sort of bistro feeling, and nicely lit. Much of the menu is based on a sort of upscale diner food concept, so you can get a burger, but an upgraded burger, for about $18, and so on. Few options for vegetarians, let alone vegans, but there is a fried-tofu meat-alternative option in at least one dish, and there’s a grain bowl. I would love to see more substantial and interesting non-meat offerings.

It was awesome. Sunshine Toast is amazing and the Corned Beef Benedict special and the Country Benedict were all delicious. Only minor criticism would be that the bloody mary could use a little more flavor. Otherwise, fantastic and can't wait to go back!!

I was a little worried when we arrived as there was a special event of some kind at the museum and we had to park in the lawn. But once we were in the restaurant and seated on the amazing patio everything went smoothly. The location is divine with shady trees and a live guitarist. The food was great and my brunch mate and I were able to relax and enjoy ourselves after a stressful family weekend.

We both ordered the broccoli-cheese quiche for lunch. The waiter came back to tell us they only had one left...this was at 12:15 and they didn't open until 11am! My husband ordered the other quiche option which was fine. However my quiche was lukewarm and "crusty"..like it was the last of the day...a Long day!

It was great but was somewhat disappointed that my guest, whose birthday it was, did not get any kind of acknowledgement since on the reservation form, I completed, it did ask if this was a special occasion and if so, what was it. I did respond that it was a birthday. She did enjoy having lunch here and of course I did not mention that I thought her birthday would be acknowledged in some way. Thanks - it was a good day! We had a fun relaxing time as a family! Grateful beyond words! Everyone loved their generously proportioned meals!! One family member would like to request an option of pork sausage opposed to chicken! All staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming! The live music was also a contributing factor in the enjoyment of our time at the Brown Hound. We’ve been trying to patronize you since the time you were in Bristol/Naples area. A picture of our beloved dog is still displayed on your wall which always warms our hearts

Always a lovely experience. However, my main dish was a bit overdone and lacked flavor. It was an omelette with tomato and mozzarella. The potatoes were overdone. I usually enjoy an omelette at Brown Hound because of flavor, etc. This time was a bit disappointing. Also, while the seating was cozy in the bar area, there was a large party seated right behind us which made for a very loud environment. This could have been avoided this particular day by spreading the patrons out a bit so that my smaller table could have enjoyed a more normal tone of voice.

This was our first time at the Brown Hound MAG. We like being seated in a quiet corner. Our server was very attentive and we were able to stay awhile and chat after dinner because it was the end of the evening. We will return again!
