We have eaten at Rakugaki several times in the past few weeks and enjoyed our meal every visit. My husband loves the miso soup and tempura shrimp and vegetables, and I like the spring roll and various udon noodle dishes. I look forward to trying the black cod and steak during future visits. The servers are always friendly and informative, and the ambiance, depending on the hour, is quiet
or festively fun! On occasion, we have felt rushed, but if we eat early, that is not the case.

A+. Service was excellent. Although we had a water bottle on our table, a server came by frequently to refill our glasses. A nice choice of food from sushi to noodles to fish. Portions were generous. The black cod was delicious. It came with miso soup, lots of veggie sides. Can’t wait to return. Best to make a reservation if you want to sit inside.

My party of 3 had reservation for 7:15pm and we were seated immediately indoors so that was perfect. The restaurant was packed ( surprised us since this was a Thursday evening). Tables are closely situated to one another and we had to speak in raised voices. That is why I rated Ambiance as 8/10. Otherwise our experience was great. I would certainly come back and recommend to others.

This is a real gem tucked away in Wildwood Shopping Center. It's way more spacious than it appears to be from the front and has a good bar too. I've only been for lunches. The food is wonderful and great value. The staff are all friendly and professional. You won't be disappointed.

This is my 3rd time having the lobster and shrimp dumplings, which were still great! It's my first time having the pumpkin soup, which was perfect for a cold, rainy day. Very tasty and filling. My companion had the beet salad, which looked good, so I ordered it to take home to have with dinner. Very nice, especially the mandarin orange and fig bits in the salad. The service remains excellent - attentive without being overbearing. I'll be back!

Had 8:00 reservation for 3. We were eating and drinking at 8:50 and were told the cut-off was 9:00. We were not told what the cut-off was for (bar, food, desert, etc.) Kind of let the air out of the sails so we decided to wrap things up before we were chased out. I am glad we did not have an 8:30 reservation.

It's a great little place, and not corporate like just about everything else around. I'd generally give them a 10 but there were a couple hiccups this time. My cocktail took a while to appear, but when it did still no wine that my wife had ordered. (However, both drinks were good.) And one of our small plates showed up at the end of the meal; we mentioned it to the server, she said she would check, and then she never came back to tell us the outcome. Not a huge issue, just not a 10 this time.

When we arrived for our reservation we were told that the table was being prepared. When we were seated we asked for a larger table and were told that wasn’t possible because there were reservations for all the tables. Yet when the 4 top next to us was seated, there were only two people.
Our server was good. The saving grace of the evening was the food which was delicious.

Thank you for a lovely outdoor dining experience. The food and the waitstaff was excellent. Don't know what you could have done to keep the ants from crawling on the table but everything was so nice, my dining partner and I carried on as if they weren't bothering us at all :)

rakugaki is a nice new addition to Wildwood Shopping center. It has a very attractive interior decoration and recently they added a very nice outdoor space. The food is excellent and innovative. The service very friendly.

Great food! Service was very slow, we were sat at 7pm, our order was not taken for 30 minutes, and our entrées were not served until 8:30pm. Hopefully this was just a one off, but it was definitely frustrating.

I thought the food was very good. Been going to raku for over 20 years. I would have liked seating at booth since we had as reservation at 5:00…. Pretty empty at that time. They sat us in tables in back where it felt dark, dingy alittle….. tables and chairs looked used and old. Anyways I would go back but maybe do carry out next time.
