Visit our Tasting Room on a hill top with spectacular Sierra views to enjoy elegant wines including Chardonnay, Barbera, Old Vine Zinfandel, plus our Red Blend. Winemaker Tom Jones and son Spencer enjoy a hands-on approach, growing our own estate grapes and tending each wine to bottle. Our lovely patio is ideal for your picnic or sample from our deli selection and we often share live music, as well.

Founded in 1995 by owners Milan and Victoria Matulich, Dobra Zemlja Winery is the home of 'Big Amador Reds, No Lightweights'. Our wine tasting cave is built into the hillside underneath a rustic and historic barn. We cannot wait to welcome you to taste our wines in Amador County's first wine cave. Meaning 'good earth' in Croatian, Dobra Zemlja (Doh-bra Zem-ya) produces hearty, unfiltered, and unfined wines that are made using the native yeast. It is all about letting the grape make the wine.
