1pm on Wednesday. I'm in a group of 4 wanting to eat on the covered patio so my out of town guests could see the view. Only 1 other table occupied in the whole place; unfortunately it was a raucous and rowdy group of 8 business people. Our waiter had to stop speaking to us because of the loud raising of glasses for various congratulations, the talking from one end of the table to the other and loud laughter. It was obvious our waiter was not going to confront them, nor was any other staff. WE were asked if we wanted to move to the inside restaurant or to the outside patio. At that point we should have left but our guests wanted to eat in Del Mar. So we moved...... i'll think twice about eating at Il Fornaio again after the way they handled this situation. They obviously do not care about ALL their customer's comfort and enjoyment.
