Our in-house Chef, Victor Passalacqua will undoubtedly give you a memorable experience of French Eclectic Cuisine.
Born in Peru, from Spanish and Italian decent, Victor found a passion in cooking and got his Hospitality Management education from L’Ecole de Lausanne in Switzerland. His search for perfection brought him to the kitchens of Grand Chefs like Paul Bocuse, Edward Merard, and Georges Blanc.
Before joining our team in Elk, Victor owned and operated various restaurants in Miami, FL.and was on the Culinary Board of Miami Dade Culinary Institute.
Together with his wife Melissa, who is a Certified Sommelier and a Wine Educator, they excel in the art of pairing food and wine, and hope to bring the best of both to your table

We had the grab and go veggie curry and beef bourguinone on the 20th and they were quite good. On Thursday we had the cassoulet which was superb! We ate outside on the wonderful deck. Excellent service and wine advice. Also Bella, the dog, and Porcini the cat.

The Elk Cove Inn dining experience is always a solid 10 out of 10! Chef Victor creates delicious meals from locally sourced ingredients (some of which are grown or raised on site). The wonderful staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and feel right at home. We love the combination of a chef-inspired menu paired with the ambiance of a more casual dining atmosphere with a stunning view of the ocean. Our first visit to Elk Cove Inn was in 1984 and it’s only gotten better over the years. If you haven’t experienced a stay at the Inn, I would highly recommend!

I happened to catch an interview on the radio while driving to the market one day where owners Victor and Melissa were the guests -- that did it! I booked a table for my husband and me that week. The food, ambiance, service, and friendliness were all wonderful! I give them highest marks on all counts!
We had an amazing mushroom risotto (make sure to have it with the cream and mascarpone, it's to die for!), the soup a l'oignon was delicious, oozing with melted cheese to the brim! A favorite of my husband's.
I had the tuna tartare, which was super flavorful and the escargot, which was simply prepared and so very fresh!
We shared the osso buco, where the meat fell away from the bone without any effort!
Lastly, there was no dessert on the menu, but I was told that Melissa had picked some plums off their tree earlier that day, and decided to make a "little cake," "nothing extravagant and tart," she said. It was so perfectly crunchy on the edges and perfectly tart, it was no "little nothing" cake. It was delicious!
If you haven't been, make the trip! It's a gorgeous drive and the property itself has magnificent views of the ocean. Oh, and you do not want to miss meeting two of the most adorable, selfless and kind people ever!

The welcome by Ricky was very nice. He met us as we got out of our car and guided us to our room. We were very tired after a nine hour drive and having dinner in our room was just right. And, for takeout food, it was fine. The boeuf needed a little extra seasoning, but was just fine. It hit the spot.
Everyone has been very accommodating and willing to help with whatever we need. A good experience.

Victor and Melissa prepared and served an outstanding meal! Escargot, Burrata, Salmon, & Trout we’re followed by spectacular deserts.
Melissa even warned us that although the preparation was French, the size of the portions was American so we might want to share early courses.
All of this overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a perfectly paired local wine started our Anniversary Celebration in great fashion!

We loved the friendliness of the staff and appreciated the sweet card and glass of champagne for our anniversary - so thoughtful. The view is absolutely spectacular. The menu is unique and appealing. The wine list is very nice. The service was efficient with minimal wait time between courses. Our appetizers and starters were very good. I adored the garden salad. Unfortunately both our main courses (rabbit and duck) were extremely tough so we couldn't eat much. The sauce and potatoes with the rabbit were delicious. I would say that if the main course had not been as it was, the value and the food would have been 10's as well.

I would give 20 stars if possible! Our dinner/experience celebrating our anniversary 8/7/22 might possibly be our best dinner & restaurant ever! Service was phenomenal, the grounds were gorgeous and so intriguing with the fresh gardens of lush veggies, beautiful flowers and the bees! The ocean views with giant rocks jutting from the sea were breathtaking. Melissa was such a joy to chat with about the place, the food & small talk. The other young lady was delightful as well with her sweet personality & fun sense of humor! I loved the romantic uplifting Parisian cafe music playing in the background so much I downloaded the music for myself as soon as we got home from the restaurant. The salad and veggies were literally the best I’ve ever eaten as they were all fresh picked just then from the garden. I completely stuffed myself. The fresh wild king salmon was to die for & the chocolate mousse was over the top! The quaint restaurant, chit chat with Melissa & her other half made us feel at home & like we’d been there a thousand times. I can’t say enough. It was truly a magical evening at SIBO! We will be your new regulars!

We enjoyed our dinner on the deck outside of our room overlooking the ocean. Truly a lovely evening! The clam chowder was one of the best soups we have ever had! Absolutely Amazing! We ordered room service and this meal was for our 25th anniversary. They made it so special and gave us complimentary glass of champagne, brought us a candle and flowers in our tray of food which made our meal romantic. We ordered the Fresh Onion Soup, Baked Brie with apples & walnuts in a puff pastry, Salmon, Trout, Chocolate Mousse, Apple Crisp. Everything was so delicious!! Our favorites are the French Onion Soup, Baked Brie, Salmon, & Chocolate Mousse which is absolutely divine! The dinner food is prepared exceptionally. I loved our dinner, and eating out in the open by the sea and watching the sunset was amazing. The breakfast I suspect is not prepared by the chef of Sibo, and needs improvement. Otherwise our stay was unforgettable and absolute heaven.

This was our 2nd stay at the Elk Cove Inn. The first time, pre-pandemic (4 years ago) the in-restaurant dinner and also the breakfasts were wonderful. I think the pandemic is of course a hindrance to providing quality meals and that showed in our room-delivered dinner and breakfast. The dinner was adequate but in no way memorable. The first morning room-delivered breakfast was disappointing. I received the wrong egg order and the rest of the offerings were just okay. The second morning’s breakfast was much better and showed a bit more care had been taken in the kitchen.

We had our dinner in our room due to COVID restrictions. My husband LOVED his escargot appetizer! His preference on the RockFish entree would be either the capers or olives, as both together were a bit overpowering.
My shrimp was very flavorful and the Apple Crumble dessert tasty!
As it was our birthdays, glasses of champagne were a welcome surprise!
We look forward to our next visit.

The Burrata and Tomatoes Salad was fantastic, as was the Short Rib Bourguignon. It was only just warm enough to sit outside. The addition of a couple heat lamps would be a solid investment, but the service and overall dining experience was otherwise wonderful.

The fish vegetables were amazing, I did think the fish was under seasoned and overcooked. The risotto was seasoned well good flavor, a bit stodgy. The mushroom were a bit off as well. Not cleaned well I had a few bits that had grit in the bit.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and appreciated the suggestion to walk down to the beach while our table was prepared. Enjoyed all the dishes- beet and mushroom appetizers and the risotto and tortellini main courses. Especially loved the mushrooms in the dishes which were mostly locally grown we were told. I thought there could be more red wine by the glass offerings. The only red by the glass, Husch, was mediocre. Heat lamps would have been a good addition as it got cold and we sat outside. We were offered blankets which was nice. Overall, a charming place with staff that seemed genuinely happy to have us and our dog there. Would definitely return again and maybe stay in the inn.

I'll start by saying I love Elk Cove Inn and I have been staying here for almost 8 years. Dinner service was extraordinary. My server was kind, accommodating, and a great problem solver. My salad was delicious and wine pour generous. My soup however was very sweet, sweeter than the normal sweet of onions. By the time I was served the chef had gone for the day and I was told there was no other option to replace my soup with. That was a bummer but I was offered condiments to help cut the sweet flavor.

We were given a reduced menu because we did not respond to the text message for choosing menu. The time we got the text was not great as we were travelling. We used phone for GSP. I wish we got a notice about the menu a bit earlier so we would be sure to be on the lookout for it and check for it when we were in a cell coverage area. We were looking forward to a great menu and were disappointed not to be getting one. Our evaluation reflects the fact that we did not get the menu we were hoping for.

In room dining for 3. Entrees were lamb shank, mussels and mushroom risotto. Escargot and clam chowder as appetizers along with lemon curd cake for dessert. All dishes were ample and delivered hot to our room. When it's cool and drizzly outside, this is a great option especially if you have ocean views from your room.

All of the food was very enjoyable. While the tiramisu was delicious, the presentation in a small mason jar made it look like cooking grease with a layer of fat on top. I think they may wish to experiment with a different way to present this dessert. The cook and wait staff were fabulous and deserve high marks in customer service.

Due to Covid there was really no interaction with the hotel people. The coffee was great! The dinner offerings were very pricey & due to Covid again nothing was open around the area. It is a lovely area overall.
