Chuck's did a great job with sanitizing and social distancing. I felt very safe enjoying some food and drinks there with 4 friends and my pup. Will definitely be going back often. Keep up the great work Chuck's!

Chucks Hop Shop has gone above and beyond to keep their customers and employees safe as they reopen for in-person service. Reserving a table online is simple, and they always have an employee waiting at the door to take you to your table. They sanitize every table and chair before you sit down and require that you wear a mask every time you leave your seat. They're as friendly as ever, and we really appreciate how their team has taken the time to make the best out of an unfortunate situation for everybody. If you're reserving a table online, make sure you come on time and plan accordingly. They have tons of reservations right now, so they're pretty strict about clearing your table for the next reservation. Fortunately, they always give a 15-minute warning when your time is almost up.

Would love for Chuck's to keep the reservation system forever. Being able to plan your evening and have a table guaranteed when you get there is awesome. So many times it has been too busy (with kids and dogs!) and I had to leave. Thanks for a great experience. Maybe food trucks could park in the parking lot entrance off 20th?

Love that they converted the parking lot to outdoor seating. Hope they keep it all year. Only thing I would suggest is that they add heat lamps outside for those chilly Seattle evenings.
Love this place, they were very clear on the rules and were enforcing them. I appreciate that, and was happy to be able to sit on the patio at my favorite brew spot.

Awesome! Glad chucks is back
There really is no ambiance to speak of, and that's ok. Picnic tables in a parking lot are still a welcome change. Likewise there's no food to rate, though more choices of snacks to purchase would be great. Service was pleasant at first, but when our time to leave came (we were busy catching up and it snuck up on us!), the server seemed very anxious and hustled us out as if we were doing something wrong. Plus there were five empty tables! Making expectations clear early, and giving a heads up if we are approaching our time but have lots of beer left would be much better.
We did not have the option of changing our table location so that we could sit near friends even though there were plenty of open, similar-sized open tables near our friends. The woman we talked to was rude, seemed frazzled, and was unwilling to even attempt to accommodate this request citing "it's all online in a system". After about 90 minutes after being seated, we were then given about a 1 minute warning that our time at the table was up (I think the staff gave the wrong table a 20 minute warning) so we were kicked off our table even though we had all just bought new beers. There was no mention of a table time limit online. Since there were plenty of open tables around us when our time was up, we asked if the people who were scheduled to be seated at our table could be seated at another open table but staff were again unwilling to accommodate this request saying "everything is online in the system". So we ended up just moving to an empty table nearby which remained empty for the duration of our visit. Since we cannot pre-select specific open tables online, staff should be more flexible in accommodating requests for table changes and not be so rigid about sticking to a protocol. Other than that, the ambiance was great and so was the beer.
