Not visit before but knew on entering the premises that a feast awaited....Foods of plenty and cooked to perfection held our gaze and mouthwatering tingles on our tongues never left us until we left the premises.... The best carvery I've ever tasted... Staff were pleasant on arrival and attentative all through our meal without rush or hovering at the table.... On entry for lunch I was expecting to go to the bar to order and pay. I was advised that we could order at our table. Great service. But once we had finished our main course and waiting for someone to clear the table and take our desert order no one attended. So I ended up at the bar. I suppose what I’m is. Customers expectations would be to order at the bar. If you’re going to enhance the service by offering a “table” service, it needs to be consistent.

Three of us meet for lunch at the Royal Oak on a regular basis, to catch up, and put the world to rights. Parking and access are excellent. The staff are always helpful. The food is decent quality helpings are generous and the cost is excellent. Never been disappointed when we visit.

I have to say from start to finish we were beyond impressed with the service. The young manager was super friendly when we arrived taking her time to speak and make us feel so welcome. The Carvery was second to none with tender meat and fresh vegetables. The homemade Yorkshire puddings were a great addition. Overall a fantastic meal in warm and welcoming environment

Food and service was wonderful in fact best Carvery we have ever tasted. Choice of meat and vegetables was excellent. We found the room to be quite cold when we arrived but did warm up slightly before we had finished our meal. No other negatives only positives.
