Good food.
We came in at abt 845pm and the restaurant was empty. I don't wish to single out your staff. But one of them came across as being disappointed that we had arrived (presumably because they could have closed earlier). This staff was very hesitant to welcome us and required a bit of inertia to direct us to the table. That is not the kind of vibe you want to send out to customers. Once seated, the tall gentleman and the elderly lady served us well - kind, welcoming and chatty.

My friend and I enjoyed our dinner thoroughly. We loved the fresh oysters and the Foie Gras Truffle Yakiniku. We enjoyed the Mizubasho too. Since it was a weekday, it was rather quiet, we were allowed to stay past the 2 hours' limit. We appreciated the staff's understanding and kudos to them for a wonderful dining experience !

Great ambiance, bright lighting and relaxing overall. Staffs were attentive to our needs. Food was great however, they ran out of oysters before 8pm and we only got to order 6 pieces. When the oysters came, they weren't as big as hoped and honestly I think there was kind of a pungent smell. We are okay after eating them though so no issue.

We reached the place but was turned away as there was power supply maintenance. I was driving to the place when I had 2 missed calls to alert me that the place would not be ready at the appointed time. Given that we had to wait for 45 mins with my elderly mother, we decided to cancel the reservation and go somewhere else.

Lighting is a little weak.
plate and cutlery is given for 4 pax for us to pass around instead of laying it for each one of us. Other than this, the Indian boy service was very good.
The rest of service staff looks aggressive in their posture. Just like those safe distancing ambassador.

The restaurant was severely understaffed. It was a Friday night and it is expected that the restaurant will be busy. We waited 1 hour to get our food and drinks. One staff member was extremely apologetic and kind and explained to us how she was trying her best. In the future it would help the staff and customers if the restaurant was better equipped. The air con was also very cold.

However the ambience is somewhat lacking at this NDC location coz it looks more like a school canteen but the menu prices are not canteen prices. With a location at a design school, we expected more of a smart or stunning restaurant design.

Kitchen is unable to cope with customer orders. Took us multiple attempts for the waiter to take our orders. Several excuses were given at first to buy time such as only 1 wait staff is in charge of taking orders so we had to wait. After seeing we are pissed, was eventually told to wait patiently & they will come back to take our orders later due to overwhelming orders from food delivery platforms. As such, they are unable to load our orders in the system. Overall a bad experience & I won’t recommend given the food is not really fantastic as well.

Not our first time here. Went to Orchard and Jewel couple of times. Truffle fries was superb! However, to our huge disappointment, 2-3 of the 12 oysters we ordered in this outlet were not fresh and actually smelled bad. Apparently, same thing happened to the table next to ours as well. Management should really take the freshness of oysters very seriously.

We arrived at 7pm sharp and ordered shortly after. But food came almost 45min later. There were 3 of us, they served one of us first, and she finished her food and we were still waiting. Asked the kitchen to check, but nobody came to explain why our food is taking so long to serve. Seems like they got our orders mixed up (which is really bad service because when we arrived the restaurant wasn’t even half filled).
Really bad service and we did not enjoy ourselves at all. Been to the orchard and jewel outlets, and the service were much better. Only redeeming part was this older, auntie server who kept coming to apologise and check on us and to top up our water. The rest of the wait staff was terrible!!! Will not be going back to this branch again.

Really friendly service. Local Aunty greeting us was chatty and funny. When they took a little longer with one of our drinks, they were so kind as to offer a complimentary drink whilst we waited... food was also terrific.. I’m usually not a fan of fusion food but their beef burrito was really good. It’s more like a bulgogi rice wrap! The mentaiko aburi reroll was also impressive... an amalgamation of textures and tastes. Will surely return!

We used to love coming to Tanuki Raw for the oysters, but it seems like the oysters are never really that fresh anymore (our oysters this time looked and tasted a little funny and we kept biting into sand and shell) and it was also this way the last time we visited. I really loved the impossible quesadilla but it tasted a little off this time.

The food was okay. The Chirashi Yuzu udon is good! The Oysters are very fresh. The service can be better. Because we ordered 2 of the set. The salad and miso soup was forgotten. And the iced green tea was given very late as well.
Maybe the lady was new. But she was very apologetic.
It was a good experience. Something to try due to the hype. And if you want different choices, from sandwich to pastas to japanese.

The food was great but the customer service officer wasn't very friendly. My reservation was at 845pm (that was the only slot available) and we arrived at 846pm. We waited for 5mjns before a service attendent attended to us at the entrance. And the first thing she did was to look at her watch in front of us before looking back at us. That is pretty rude. N throughout her service time she kept lookin at her watch. Then during the last call for order at 930pm (we know it will close at 10pm), when we ordered a bottle of sake, she again looked at her watch. So besides the overall fun experience, that was a damper.
