Chef Lance's On Phillips in Sioux Falls was absolutely delicious. I had been watching their Instagram for awhile now in anticipation of my anniversary trip, and it did not disappoint. They had a cute sign for us, wrote on our dessert plate, the chef even brought it out to us, and we could have had a complimentary drink of champagne (but we declined). My husband literally took his fingers and was licking his plate clean he loved it that much. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, everything I had the pleasure of trying was gluten free! When I tell you I have been craving cheese curds since I learned their fryer is 100% gluten-free......chef's kiss! I could have just eaten those and not a main course. Knowing I was able to enjoy a nice evening out without having to worry about my food allergies having to dictate where we ate, made the whole trip worth it. Can't wait to go back again!

Chef Lance is a sweet, humble gentleman and I loved that he would come out to deliver food to the tables. His Beef Wellington is famous, for good reason. I loved it and the May featured cheesecake dessert. It's not cheap but worth every dollar.

Everything was perfect! We walked in for our reservation about 5 minutes early and were seated right away. My husband and I were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary and we were taken to a little corner all decked out in love. We had a little placard on the table saying happy anniversary.! It was exceptional! From the appetizer (bruschetta) to the main courses, Wellington trio, Parmesan salmon and Southern fried pork chop. The strawberry cheesecake for dessert was creamy and absolutely amazing.
Our waiter was phenomenal and checked on us often as well as Chef Lance asking how we were enjoying our meal. I loved everything about the experience and will definitely return.

Olivia was our waitress this evening and she was amazing!! she was friendly and made us feel that we were important guests. We were celebrating a 74th birthday and our 52nd anniversary, and she genuinely offered her congratulations and made the evening special. We asked if we could share a wedge salad, and she said "yes, absolutely! "Our entrees ( the Beef Wellington and seafood pasta) were delicious! The complimentary birthday dessert with the sparkler was a delightful ( and appreciated) surprise!
We love dining at your restaurant; however, the increasing prices have limited our visits as we are senior citizens. We always buy your gift cards + bonus in November, but we were out of town this past year for a week over Thanksgiving, and were unable to come in person. I hope that we will be able to take advantage of your gift card special in 2026. Thank you!

I am a multi-repeat Chef Lance customer. I've never had even a "good" meal there. It has always been outstanding. The atmosphere is lovely without feeling crowded or noisy. You can actually have a conversation with your table without raising your voice. The service is fantastic. The food is prepared so perfectly! The wedge salads are big enough to share, but you won't want to. Steaks are cooked to perfection. The app's are great, especially the Bruschetta. One of my sons who was with us mentioned that he wished he had a piece of bread to mop up the sauce on his plate as licking it would probably be seen as poor manners. ;-)
It is not cheap to eat here, but when the kids are back from school or where ever they live, it's a nice family treat. Oh, the strawberry cheesecake was incredible too.

Our party of two ordered Pecan crusted Salmon, and Beef Wellington for main courses.
Both were cooked to perfection, and came with very good asparagus and mashed potato sides. Out appetizer and additional side of creamed corn was fantastic. Hard to beat all of that, but the Blueberry lemon cheesecake was amazing. Kendra was our server. She is very good, and does a wonderful job of anticipating our needs. Thanks Kendra, and thanks to Lance and team for another amazing dinner. Lucky to have this level in DTSF.

We always love Chef Lance. Plenty of food. Beautiful steaks. I love that the asparagus is not the mega huge stalks. We were seated immediately upon arriving (we did have a reservation). The server was pleasant and not overbearing.
