Had a lovely lunch sat outside on the warmest day so far on 21st March. I was running late but my husband had already got there as our table was booked for 2.30. He told the chef who was very kind and we ordered our food at 3, when I arrived. we were the last ones there and didn't feel we had to rush. he was very friendly and accommodating as I arrived late. lovely food and very filling.

The dining room is fabulous and soaked in history, but a few extra wall lights could be useful so guests can read the menu. Lots of people had to use the torches on their mobile phones to see it.
