We had a wonderful lunch at the Cafe on Wednesday. Our server was friendly and timely. The food was superb, the 4 of us tried different items and all of them were delicious. We ate outside , shade umbrella made it a very comfortable and improved the Garden experience . Good value for the dollar too. Thanks so much!

A little noisy for easy conversation. Given the size of the restaurant and the tables were all full it is quite understandable. Very pleasant friendly staff. Would certainly recommend!

The service was excellent. The workers were very efficient, friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful with suggestions when ordering. The food was delicious. Between the 3 of us we had 4 different items from the menu. The fourth being the cinnamon toast which we shared. The café was very clean providing a nice relaxing atmosphere. Thank you. My meal of chicken panini and garden salad was delicious. My daughter also loved the same meal. My son in law had fish cakes and sweet potato soup. He found the soup very tasty but would have preferred the fish cakes be made with salted fish but he did eat all three. The overall experience was wonderful. I will go back again and will recommend your cafe. Thank you!

This was our first time eating at Postmaster's Garden Café. We arrived from Montreal last Sunday. We very much enjoyed our lunch. The Staff were very nice and keen. One suggestion. While I was having my first course, a delicious turkey soup, my main course, mussels, arrived. This is a No-No in every restaurant in the world. Never bring the second course to the table while people are still eating their first course. This requires excellent communication between the kitchen staff and the serving staff. Other than that it was a lovely meal. We have told our Nfld friends about your restaurant and they will certainly visit over the summer.

So impressed with my first brunch at the garden café. I ordered the mushroom toast and the presentation of what arrived absolutely blew me away! Stunning. I liked the color contrast of the dark plate and the bright asparagus. It was instagrammed haha
Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal, and we were charmed by the double-walled glass mugs for our coffee.
Service was polite, courteous and friendly. I even left my keys behind and a member of the wait staff came out to give them to me.
10/10 across the board. No notes. Will be recommending. Cheers, friends!

I must say that I was disappointed with the meal. I have been to the cafe with friends on several occasions and the food was lovely, however those fish cakes were not freshly cook, tasteless actually and overpriced! The staff are always friendly and service good. I wondered if perhaps you had changed you chef/cook.

Lovely spot for lunch with very attentive servers. Given that this is the Botanical garden maybe some fresh foliage around would be nicer.
Quiche was more like a frittata because there was no crust and was flat in appearance. Could be on the menu as a gluten free option if it is crust less.
Raspberry chocolate tart was so flavourful and very attractive to look at.
Will be making a return trip.

although I enjoyed the salad very much, I was disappointed there was no other began option (not even the sandwich. The server said the sour dough bread was not vegan which surprised me as most often it is. It would be nice to have either a plant based soup or sandwich options or something else besides a salad.

The food was absolutely delicious. 2 of us had the Eggs Benny and 2 had the quiche. No complaints, many compliments. 2 had the berry ice cream and 2 had the lemon meringue cheesecake for dessert. Oh so very good. The waitress we had was very attentive and so pleasant. A great experience. We will definitely be back. In fact we visited the bakery on Bond Street to bring home some delicious treats to friends and family. All thoroughly enjoyed!

Hello! I was at the restaurant with my friends on Wed.June 1/22. The service, the server, the ambiance, etc. were all great. Our service was a bit slow, but we assumed that meant the food was being freshly made. Everyone seemed to be happy with their orders when they got them,, but I was disappointed with my food.
I had been at the restaurant twice before, in the past month, and had the quiche, each time. I enjoyed it, so I ordered it again on 06/01. As I like to do, I ordered two pieces of quiches, with no salad. The pieces of quiche I received were over cooked and dried out. The crust was slightly burnt and the filling was kind of rubbery. It did not taste fresh to me. Sorry, but that is the truth.
No one else commented on the condition of their food, except to say they enjoyed it, so I didn’t say anything at the time. I just let it go and decided to not go back again, any time soon.
Needless to say, I was somewhat disappointed with this visit.

I love the Cafe and think it is a perfect addition to MUN Botanical Garden. I have only one recommendation. It might be a good idea to put a reserved sign to distinguish a table as not available. Not a big deal but when I was there on Sunday, I had a reservation and I sat at a table when I went in with a friend but had to move because the table was reserved for 3. Understandably I was directed to another table with space for 2. It would have been easier had we not sat at some else’s reserved space. Three tables were occupied so we presumed any other table was available.

Went for lunch with OH! He had Chowder plus Fish Cakes & I had the Frittata. We shared a bit of both with each other. The food was delicious. The wait staff very friendly but efficient. The "mouse topped" cheesecake was the crowning glory of my meal for taste and especially for presentation! Our only concern was the noise level especially for those with hearing difficulty. Don't have any suggestion to improve that as no one was being particularly loud, it is just a small space. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

Fish cakes were very tasty as was the lemon tart. I appreciated the fact that you used salt fish rather than fresh cod in fish cakes.. The servers are also lovely

Food was beautifully prepared and presented! Carrot Ginger Coconut Soup needed a greater kick of ginger! The taste of ginger was just too subtle! The grilled bread served with the soup was delicious! The Fishcakes were tasty but again there was very little salt cod noticeable throughout! For my Fishcakes I usually try to aim for 1/2 mashed potato mixture, about 1/2 shredded salt cod, and a little sweated chopped onion with some pepper and a pinch of savoury! They always turn out quite good! The Garden is lovely as always! Thank you!

I found the sound not great.. found it a bit noisy. In the meantime, there was a lot of us in the group but a couple people also mentioned about the sound..
Overall, it was great! Everyone of us said they enjoyed the meal. The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress was wonderful. Would recommend the place to others for sure.
